Thought Clarkson and co did the writing? Or at least they were involved in it? I suspect that's more likely the problem; Clarkson as more freedom to do as he pleases. BBC would have been controlling everything
I was posting on Richard Hammond's ice cream comment days ago but nobody was interested. That was way inappropriate and just pathetic frankly, so there are some missteps in the writing. I don't mind them going more extreme at all in the script and roasting more stuff but to associate eating ice cream with being gay ... wtf

Look it's complete remake of old shows and blindingly obvious but to me it doesn't matter. They could be sitting in a shed talking and I'd be happy.
