The waves look awesome. I don't have tickets for the fireworks but my kids want to see them. Anywhere near to the centre that is not likely to be rammed so they can at least see the fireworks?
I thought about Barton, everyone I have spoken to that doesn't have tickets is heading to Barton. I think there could be more watching from the South Bank than in Hull. Loads of people I know tried getting tickets and failed. How many tickets were available?
Thought so, I was speaking to someone last night who was on hold from the minute the lines opened and they'd gone before her call was answered. Pretty crap organisation allowing 4 tickets per caller.
Just had a walk around marina and town for an hour or so - it's bubbling up quite nicely. People are starting fill the streets and it's steadily building towards a feeling of excitement. Gonna scran down some grub ASAP and head back out later when it's all starting
Think a lot of them went online. You could buy 6 per person online. I have sympathy with those that didn't get them, but I didn't really have any difficulty despite the website playing up a bit. I logged on at 8am when they went on sale and was at the front of the queue.
Out of our circle of friends, there's only one family I know that got tickets! You assume everyone that rang or used the website took the full entitlement allowed of 6 tickets.** The tickets would have gone to the first 4,166 callers or web users. **People always take the maximum allowance, particularly if they are free!
COUM transmissions at Fruit 03/02/2017 sold out. Genesis p-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti onstage together for first time in **** knows how long. No Ray Harvey, but poss. Spydee Gasmantell, Fizzy Paet and /or Very Reverend Lelli Maull?
Not sure I've heard that Barton Visitors Centre is open though. That could be a great view? Or why not take them into Vicky Sq and just suck it and see from there?
'We Want Allam Out' chant, recorded at the Newcastle game, is currently belting out in the city centre. Splendid.
Vicky Sq is superb. Actually quite emotional Zebedees Yard belting out City chants is great And the spoof 'inconvenience store' down on the right of Whitefriargate is worth visiting for a chuckle at the fake adverts We know what we are!!!
