Assuming no relegation in reductions in gate receipts. Yes that is the sort of assumption to make after a few years of selling players and not replacing them. Meanwhile, in the real world, without being relegated we are getting lower crowds than we did in Division 3.

Youth contracts feature all sorts of stipulations such as international appearances, sub appearances (even if they don't come on) and other add ons. If he signed on as a youth player and hasn't signed anything else, then he's still on what he was on as a 15 year old when he joined up full time. It's not £160 p/w, there are youth players at York on more than that, but I can tell you it isn't much more than that, basic wage anyway. What he gets for appearing in the first team would be a decent wedge to him (and us).
