I didn't mention anything about that. I said I think they'll asset strip the squad, sell everyone possible and play the kids while keeping the parachute money.
so not all doom and gloom if we have promising youngsters waiting for a chance, id honestly rather see those lads given a chance over some of the players who have maybe gone stale in our team or just dont do it Anybody any idea who the top secret buyers are who pearsons connected too? Havnt seen one bit of info on them We get relegated A sale at a reduced price goes though Cost cuts are made players are sold Investment in players inline with a championship budget Youngsters brought into the team/squad Is my prediction
The last bloke they had in anything like this position was key to our recent success by recommending Steve Bruce as manager, all the while Senile Allam was chuntering in the background at how expensive he was, whilst the boy blunder eventually forced him out, shortly preceded by the bloke that recommended him. I'd love to see a DOF at our club, however only very desperate people would volunteer to work alongside the Allam's, and even then they'd only have very limited powers, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately it's never going to happen as I think that the Allam's are now looking to cut costs wherever possible, and certainly not add to them, shortsighted as that maybe, no one tells them how to run their business. Clowns!
I for one am glad they will not spend money on a waste of money position such as a Director of football.
If any of our U23's are genuine Prem league prospects, then they'll probably be the first players other clubs will come after.
Yeah and championship sides as well. Think we will see some of the young uns soon as Allam sells during January and no one is bought. The asset stripping starts now im afraid Sorry BBC didnt see your earlier post
Apart from Tymon I don't think they are EPL level yet, but could probably hold their own in the Championship.
When Nick Thompson left in 2013 they said they'd be appointing a new Managing Director soon. Then at some point Ehab obviously decided he knows much better and they could save on a wage. After all, why pay for someone who is just going to tell you how to run your business? And this is the root of our mess. We have two people with any power at the club, one of whom is uninvolved. How many Premier League clubs just have one or two people running things? They all have a proper board, a chairman/CEO who has a clue what they're on about, people advising them, etc etc. We barely even have a backroom coaching team, let alone a boardroom. It's an unbelievably stupid, arrogant strategy and we shouldn't be surprised that it's gone so pear shaped.
I agree that it would be a complete waste of money if Eshite was still around, as he obviously will not allow any final decision other then his own, which is usually wrong. Mason = £13M = Ehab Allam = CSM.
Tymon and 4 other young lads where signed up in the last 2 weeks. They will be used to fill in the gaps so to speak when the squad thins
Yeah it was even on the official web not long ago at the same time the club extended 6 other contracts for another year( bargaining points when transfer deals are on)
I haven't seen anything about Tymon signing, he has been offered a new contract but that last I heard was he had not accepted it.
