I've never complained about us not spending money, I just feel we've gotten rid of a decent impact sub and brought in an equally decent impact sub, seems like a load of faffing around for no good reason.

I'm certainly going to give him a chance to prove himself and have every faith that he will but that's exactly how I felt about Wayne, just feel the lad's been hard done by in all this.

We can't complain about BA he hasnt HAD loads of play time in pre-season, least we know Orbertan can run like **** off a stick and shoot. I like how he plays low balls instead of high balls in the box which imo is better play.

EDIT: Im quite excited by him tbh, we have a MUCH stronger side than last year and all be it, we have signed LOADS of midfielders, but least we know we arent going to be exposed if say, barton or tiote get injured. Also Obertan is the type of play that could play well with Jose (if he stays)

Even the Man U fans who dont rate him still say he's probably their best dribbler. This is a club with Nani in the side, dont forget.

Double edged this one for me. On one side, why has he only managed 14 apps in two seasons when he hasn't been injured much? Even allowing for Nani/Giggs/Park/Valencia being ahead of you there must have been times where he could have been used more. On the flipside he had a big reputation when he departed from France and it may well just be that with Man U having been so dominant, and the 4 wide men being one of the main reasons, that fortune has conspired against him. I don't think we're getting a world beater by any stretch but I'm more than happy to be patient with him and see what we've got. Him in for Routledge can only be an improvement or at the very least the same.

Routledge was quick but always seemed to struggle to get past whoever was in front of him and struggled to cross the ball.

Think Obertan can do everything Routledge could do and then some

I'm excited by this signing, he hasnt had a proper chance at united, an tbh i isnt really gna get ahead of the likes of Nani Young etc
i think he will do well, reminds me of James Milner but with more pace, gets down the line an crosses the ball in

Wash your mouth out, get out of the wrong side of bed that day did you?

If you read my article correctly, i said "hardly encouraging, but im still slightly optimistic"

Now correct me if im wrong, but thats not doom and gloom, so i should suggest you go back to school and retake that F you got in English GCSE and come back when you can read and write properly. Thanks

Jonas Guiterrez PL career: 57 games, 50 starts, 3 goal, 7 assist, 14 shots on target, 45 off target.

Why do people still rate him when they read this?

Because there is far more to his overall game.

Look how many free kicks he wins when running at defences. See how well he tracks back to help out the defence. See how much ground he covers per game.

His work rate is phenomenal and the squad is better with him in it.

  13. His first season in the PL wasn't great along with Enrique and Colo. Last season he got 3 goals and 5 assists, a decent total, but it's not just all about goals and assists, it's about working with the team, and Jonas is useful when attacking and defending.

Also assist talleys are misleading, because all assists mean is who got the 2nd last touch on the ball. Barton got 9 assists last season but we all know he created far more than that.

    Jonas played his part.

Seems to me that a lot of people are still in the mindset that a player that runs around a lot is a good player

Phenominal pace (MUCH quicker than routledge !) , drives at defence and can strike all for £3m ?

Hes going to be a little hit and miss granted, but in all honesty exciting player that gives a complete different dimension

Looking forward to watching him and fully believe he will do well for us

He runs around a lot but his running alleviates pressure on the defence and stretches the opposition defence. Is that not a good thing? To me it's very useful to have.

He doubles up on the left hand side to bolster the defence and is usually the recipient of the ball to start a counter attack which often ends up with a free lick in a dangerous area.

also very rarely loses the ball cheaply , one of the few in our team that can look after it and calm us down

You could also argue that for the last 2-3 seasons he's hardly played in the greatest passing and moving midfield that would benefit his game more. I imagine this seasons midfield with hopefully a more mobile striker up front we'll see even more from Jonas.

Probably a few more waves too

If we were to get a LB stronger in defence but no as good in attack as Enrique (like Pieters) then we could see more from Jonas, relieve him of a few of his defensive duties.
