    It is possible that we could be dragged into the relegation battle if we remain barren in front of goal. I think it is very unlikely but getting some kind of striker insurance surely makes more sense than not, even if it is a loan.

    If Gabbiadini and Haller are both in the frame, Gabbiadini and it isn't close.

    If Haller and [Random Loanee X] are in the frame, Haller will do nicely.

    I'm not too sure if we will buy anyone,historically we don't do much or anything in Jan(yes I know we have bought the odd one) but generally we do our business in the summer,but that doesn't stop me wanting us to buy a striker.
    For me Sturridge,Schneiderlin,and a decent replacement for Fonte who seems to be on the move.
    Yes it's a wish list which is unlikely as Saints will not pay the wages or possibly have that much ambition.
    If Saints foul to convince players or ex players or even ex managers to stick around and commit long term then I doubt they will stump up money to buy these players.

    Southampton enquire for Presnel Kimpembe
    Premier League side Southampton have made an enquiry for PSG’s French international central defender Presnel Kimpembe, according to our colleagues at L’Équipe.

    The Saints appear to be activating back up plans for the possible departures of either José Fonte or Virgil van Djik. However, there is virtually no chance of Kimpembe joining Claude Puel’s men next month, as he is currently PSG’s third and only other choice at centre-back behind Marquinhos and Thiago Silva.
