If they both have fantastic contacts (something you can only speculate on) then why did Pardew only manage to win 6 games in 2016 and Pearson made Derby a very poor side? Remember when Claridge went into Derby he had no transfer but got them winning again. It's not done to Pearson getting the players in it's down to him not using them correctly. He lost the plot at Leicester where they sacked him once and changed their mind giving him another chance then he finally got sacked again. Then he completely lost it at Derby. So once again what is it with him you want? Is it because Leicester won the Prem last season with their next manager tweaking things and allowing players to expresss themselves? Or is he like your other love interest SoD?

We have lost 8 (in 9 ?). That is a good reason to consider a proper manager. Only trouble is, I doubt that SL has it in him to employ a proper manager.
    A control freak perhaps ?

Not a yes man, which is why SL would not employ him.

Funny how the three managers who are not yes men went in S Copp- S Cotts-SOD all could see through the speel.

I don't see either, Pearson or Pardew an option, so who else is out there that's available..
Come up with some realistic options and I might change my mind. Bearing in mind the last big name to come here (Steve Coppell) was one that didn't quite work out!!

Sack him, then we can appoint someone else, then sack him after a bad run and so on, let the cycle continue

Just out of interest, what evidence do we have about 'yes' men RR? What exactly do you mean?

Give me an example of how 1 of our managers was a 'yes' man and another one wasn't. A genuine example. And don't dodge it.

I just woke up to a brand new day here in Mexico and my first thought of the day is that he has to go now, and the quicker the better. Allowing him any more time to grow is ridiculous and if we do then you can forget about any of the transfer money being used in a sensible manner. Get some balls Steve and admit you were wrong - if you can.

I voted keep, but there was no timescale in the question.
For now, keep, but my vote may be different next week or the week after.

I am the same as you mate, I declared myself in favour of LJ but I am wavering on the edge, a couple more defeats and god only knows.

Believe me guys there ain't no turning this round,to long the same old same old.

SL will have to make a decision when Reading shred us to bits on Monday.
My last three predictions scored goals have been spot on against us.
I see three from Reading on Monday.
I hope SL is already looking and making noises regards a experienced manager.
I would say if he is not 2017 is going to be a unpopular time down at the gate.

You on the other hand opt for suicide every time. Not my way.
I pulled my trigger (reluctantly) on Cotts and I will on Junior when the time is right.

Don't get me on Brexit - what a fiasco - it's already ruining my retirement plans to live in Spain.........

I have friends living in the Canaries who are over the moon about it, so why such differing views? Is it because they have lived there for many years?

What about an out there suggestion of Roy Hodgson? Not a good England manager but good track record at club level. Has previous history with us. May struggle to get a job in the prem due to his age and the England hangover. Would be a respectful sort of bloke who SL might not have trouble dealing with. Would maybe be short term but you only need one good season to go up!
