Fairly certain this doesn't happen on any other boards regularly. So why would this one be any different. I never see Spurs fans appreciating the aesthetics of the Arsenal equaliser
Maybe we are harsh and should congratuate opposition goals more, but our defending has been so shambolic at times its hard to see anything else. I can think of about 15 goals off the top of my head with the fault completely down to errors by Lovren, Lucas, Karius, Matip, Mignolet etc
Our defence isn't great but it's not as bad as most on this board make out. If we had a DM it would look solid but it seems Klopp doesn't like them
To be fair some of the goals we scored were shambolic defending by the opposition. Against Stoke we scored 4 but at least 2 were gifts. Johnson's clownish defending to give lallana the ball and the pass back to sturridge.
Not sure about that. A DM (or Holding midfielder if you want) can stil join the attacks but their priority is defending so they stay in a position where they are able to get back should we lose the ball. Alternatively, a DM / HM that sits back allows both FBs to bomb forward with concern for their defensive duties; aka they're more attacking.
Steven N'zonzi been getting great reviews at Sevilla. Big strong holding midfielder but also got forward and got few goals. Talk about possibly leaving Sevilla of club meet his £20m release clause.
Lots of players look good in Spain, I thought he was one that had already proved he cant handle the PL?
Charlie Adam was great for Blackpool too... EDIT: that's not to say N'Zonzi is ****e btw, it's to say being a lower ranked teams main man doesn't always mean much.
He was decent in the PL tbf. Strong and commanding in the middle, something we distinctly lacked at the time. Still do although I'm not sure it would fit with how we play now.
I remember him at Blackburn and didn't rate him at all, don't remember him playing for Stoke which is why I might have the wrong guy
Can see your point but don't think its relevant to Nzonzi because he's moved on to Sevilla and has been equally as effective!
Could be, but I am thinking more a CM that was quite hard in the tackle but poor in timing and very inconsistent. The player I am thinking of could have 6 or 7 great games per season but be anonymous for the rest. My memory has more holes than a Tetley tea bag though
