Somebody needs to explain the offside rule to Mbokani.

 

We were the better team in some ways, but they had way more chances than us and we were really hanging on at times. It's just sad to watch. They really don't deserve this.

 

Good effort by the lads tonight but both goals could and should have been prevented .. we desperately need a striker who knows were the net is .. after Marshall's blunder surely Phelan should give Jak a go .. you can see the lad has no confidence whatsoever .. Jak can give the team a lift with his enthusiasm and let's be honest he can't do any worse

I thought it was Elmo that didn't stop the cross, the same as he didn't against Rooney, with the same end result.

 

Your analogy is a good one but it wasn't the fault of the wing backs in my opinion. It's the fact that every time we cleared it it came back. Maybe some of that is the overall weakness of the team compared to everyone else, I think a big part of it is the strikers though.

it's their higher quality, their whole team pushed high up, and they can zip the ball about with ease but the pressure was never relieved

The defending was piss poor your right. But it was snoddys fault we didn't get the win as he got skinned and totally stopped.
