I'd like to think Hudd has been sacrificed to have 2 out and out strikers with Snod behind supporting them and Myler to help sure up the middle

But we will probably go 3 up top but all spread out so they won't be effective

Think Phelan must be going crazy. Drops two of the better players from last game to the bench, makes no sense at all.

If it was a 433 surely it'd be elmo rb with Harry sitting in front of the back 4. Think it'll be a 3412 however

The only thing I can think is that he realises Snodgrass isn't a 2nd striker and he has no decent midfielders to bring on - and every time he makes a sub we concede.

Don't get me wrong - I think this team looks poor in the middle. On the (possible) plus side he's setting us up to fly down the wings..... it could be an 8 goal thriller (2-6)

Hmm Hudd best player over the past 4 and clucas top 3 for season. Guess there may be tired legs like and another match in a few days to consider.

Snodgrass will play behind the two strikers perfect with two defensive midfielders sat in front of the back three should have played this the last two weeks if myler is the right choice to play that role is another question

I hope they do set up like that, surely Phelan isn't clever enough to do it though, it would give a great link from back to front.

I think he has gone for exactly what I said in an earlier post, except he has gone for Dio and not Mason. Opportunity missed, which indicates he just isn't fitting in.
Bringing in Meyler, for Thudd, gives me concerns for keeping them all on for 90 mins.
Still, the proof of the pudding is ...

... for a cracking link on Kodi - Zem TV (if asked to download a tool, do it, come out and go back in) - PV2 - scroll down for SKY Sports 1 - it's perfect!!

    Enjoy, UTT

I can only assume Phelan is a tactical genius, and has been working on something that will blow the Toffees away.

At least our best goalie has some company on the bench with 2 of our best midfielders.

It's not his fault though, its the Allams.

    Oh yes.

Really not looking forward to the next 2 hours.

    Lets hope I'm wrong.

:emoticon-0137-clapp:emoticon-0137-clappLooks like a 3412 to me. Not bad IMO! We need the points tonight, no point pussyfooting about trying to hold them.

Tonight my rants will come from Shooters Bar at Bierkeller in Manchester!<cheers>
    Cheers guys!:emoticon-0137-clapp:emoticon-0137-clapp

Be interesting to see whether it's 3-5-2 with Snodgrass back in midfield, or 3-4-3 which would be particularly interesting. The latter would maybe explain the dropping of Huddlestone since only two in the middle will need to cover a lot of ground. Not many lesser sides do it though. Think Wigan did it under Martinez at one point but that's hardly a ringing endorsement.

I'm guessing he's hoping by starting both Mbo and Dio we might actually score first, then he can bring on Hudd and Clucas to hold them off.

Preserving judgement til I see how they line up on the pitch, but if it's a back 4 **** me that's risky
