Clearly pulls Alli back repeatedly, especially the first one, which is just blatant: Also: Quality surface. Not normally like that. Odd.
Meh ... still doesn't look like a foul to me. Football is a contact sport, so defenders are allowed to use their body to try and do enough to put the striker off. There's no blatant grabbing or pulling back. Looks 50/50 to me and Alli scuffed his shot. The pen was funny though, I reckon Kane's gonna get the ice cream GIF treatment for that
Whatever. Still wasn't a pen. At worst there might have been a bit of holding outside the box. But nothing really that you don't see week in week out that usually doesn't get blown up for a foul. Like I said it's 50/50. In the end Alli scuffed his shot, yes because the defender made contact, but not illegally.
It was clearly a foul. Whether it was inside or just outside is debatable. However, it could also be debated that even if it was outside, Redmond was preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity. Which is a red card offence.
If that was against Arsenal, then you'd be calling for Redmond to be hanged, FFS. It was a clear pull outside the box, which is the red, then he carries on and flops into him in the box, which is why the penalty's given. The second part is more debatable, but the first is really obvious.
Prick I did quote myself a while ago haha I did notice you decided to like that just now, wasn't you confident enough before the game to say anything?
No pen but a red all day long. Even Southampton fans on their match day thread thought it was a red. the defender pulled him back...when he was through on goal...pulling a player back is clearly a foul. Dele stayed on his feet instead of going down (he has rightly imo been criticised for not doing this in the past) ... that does not mean it weren't a foul. Obviously if it was Ozil instead of Dele I'd agree with you ... but that is because anything against you lot is fair game...bit like anything against us is foryou
And if it had been given against Spurs, you'd be screaming blue murder that Dean was bent. Even if the first was a pull, it wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity at that point as there were two other defenders coming back to cover, so yellow at worst. The second part was just Alli scuffing his shot because he was under pressure from the defender.
Alli was going past Redmond and would've been clear in on goal. Claiming otherwise just demonstrates how blinkered you are. You're literally disagreeing with the fans of the side that the decision was given against, because it's Spurs.
Look again. Without Redmond's interference Allí was clean through. No other defender was going to get close to him before he got a shot on goal off.
I haven't seen what Southampton fans have said, but it makes no difference anyway. Alli was going past Redmond, but there were two other defenders coming back to cover, so at the time of the alleged pull, it wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity You're allowing your bias to colour your view of my opinion because I am an Arsenal fan, but that doesn't change what actually happened on the pitch.
It's marginal. Like I said, it's not even really a blatant pull. You see far worse going unpunished. It's more of a coming together than any blatant pulling.
I think Spurs would have still won the game, even if Southampton had 11 on the pitch, so the Pen was academic. It wasn't a pen though, so justice was done when Kane ballooned it into row Z
