Trouble is, you could have Messi up front but unless you get the ball up to him....

I find this quite amusing, go to your local primary school, pick 15 under 11s, put them in the team...Norwich 0 - 5 Southampton, as easy as that. We are f-c-ing useless and have been all season! There may well be a protest for that game as we are being charged £25 for the privilege of watching a manager and his team totally out of their depth. Don't expect a big crowd.

And that is the kind of match Norwich will win. I feel it in my water after all you have been through. It is an important match for both sides. I will disagree with my fellow Saints fans as I feel Saints should try and do their utmost to win the game with the strongest 11. Not that will result in a victory though.

PS: I was under the impression that Norwich had a bounceback in their DNA. Early season it looked quite likely but what has happened since? Injuries? Loss of confidence? Unrest?

Agree that we were very good for the first 15 mins, but after that we just went back to the Norm. You just can't sit off teams like spuds, as they get so many players in the box, that they have more chances for any deflections etc.
Their movement of the ball put us to shame.

Annoyed on the way home to here Puel say that we pressed well for the first 15 mins, but you can't do the whole game? Why the hell not? Just had 10 days rest and the likes of Spurs/ Liverpool etc can do it, as their movement is so clever.

But at the end of the day Puel can only work with the players he has. We really need to invest some money in a strong forward, and a midfielder who can run a game. You can't keep selling top players like Mane and hope to replace with cheaper replacements year on year.

Uncle Les's quotes at the start of the season that we now have one of the best midfields in the premier league, is laughable as we are regularly out passed, out muscled and out run in midfield.

We stopped pressing after they equalised and that was the end of that. Shame as we were all over them until then.

If we play our 'best' team against Norwich and rest players against Liverpool it will be an absolute farce - it'll be like what Poch did in the FA cup vs. Sunderland all over again...

Shyte Manager, simple as that, lost 8 out of the last 10, and now our board have come out and said he's staying! We won't win trust me our defence is awful, we've got Sebastian Bassong back in the team FFS!

Bit harsh. Just they were too good for us and they have more quality in the final third than us.

He had the shot, he missed ... so a goal scoring opportunity wasn't exactly denied was it.

A clear one was. The foul made Alli lose balance therefore couldn't get a good shot in. The foul made him miss therefore he denied him a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Who would you like as a manager? I really like Brian McDermott.

The first 20 minutes were absolutely oustanding - why didn't we keep that up, we had them on the ropes for **** sake!

Never a penalty, and never a red card. I don't care what anyone says, I'm sticking by that. Disgraceful decision by the ref, who also missed an elbow on Rodriguez.

Can't fault Claude ... he went for it 2nd half, if he hadn't, he'd have been mauled to death so fair play to him, but shame it backfired.

Oh, and the sarcastic ****-wits who seem to love Fraser Forster still need to **** off away from St Marys.

What did they talk about at half time???? 'Lets carry on playing the same way and get beat', seems to be the answer. It was so obvious we were going to lose unless something changed, but Claude kept it the same and we duly lost..

I said I'd take a 4-0 defeat in exchange for beating WBA and Everton, so I'm actually one goal up...so long as we do go and win both of them!

Hopefully Puel and the players learn from this that dropping deep after 20 minutes, and pretty much never coming back out again, isn't generally a recipe for success.

Erm, he made a triple substitution didn't he? I'd say thats braver then taking a 2-1 loss and sitting back for the majority of the second half.
