    Sorry,there is more chance of Wayne Rooney going on a diet than there is of Sunderland winning on Saturday and even less chance if Wes Brown plays.

    I know the timing would be lousy but surely the first game of the season against NUFC has a certain charm to it as well though!

    I'm just glad that I live in such a peaceful part of the UK...Sunderland may have its fair share of social problems but statistically it is one of the safest places to live. I have never seen a large-scale riot take place; even during the miners strike..

    For those unfamiliar with the Liverpool board ( and just where have you been btw? ), KPR is our resident Man U attack dog. He has a seemingly insatiable hatred for everything that is, or ever has been, associated with them- hence the Wes Brown jibe. We're used to him, stick around and you might be too by the time the match is played.

    I hear the Nukes have signed Obertan, btw. Happy days.
