So Long just got pushed over, denying a clear goal scoring opportunity, no?

We badly need a striker that can hold the ball up. The amount of times it gets played forward and comes straight back is annoying. It puts so much pressure on our defence.

Haha. Thought Long was going to get a second yellow for diving just then.

Some people on here think we on league position we are somehow better than last season or at leaat the same; can somehow replicate what was achieved before. We have gone backwards from last season.

    Agreed.

As I said, this looks far worse on paper (4-1) than the reality. I thought there were moments we looked very good against a top six, very well organised team. The roll of the dice wasn't with us today at all.

I too can get emotional Velcro!! The last time was in the 2-2 draw with a certain South Coast team. As I live in Mallorca I can be more dispassionate but up for it when Athletic Bilbao play Barca or Real and it seems like Bilbao are always on the wrong end of the referees' decisions. But when the fog has cleared the reality is different.

We're not a million miles off, we just lack an effective, consistent striker.

Frustrating having creative/flair players like Sofiane and Dusan but no one you have ultimate faith in to make the right movements and, crucially - like Son did - take the one chance when it comes.

Not going to slag off any one that much. But Forster needs to be dropped. Then the obvious we need more attacking players.

Think it's more you're comment of calling people immature for showing a bit of passion , it gets people's backs up , me included.

That makes it look bad, and it is, but it would have taken a second for that to continue into the box. The assistant did Mike Dean no favours at all. Still, that shows he was correctly sent off.
