Sell all your best players over a few short years, don't replace them, blame the manager, sack the manager.

Sounds like a common theme for clubs wanting to get relegated.

Smashing three points as we came from behind. Apart from the first 20 minutes (and I don't want to think what would have happened had Stoke gone 2 up) we didn't stretch ourselves too much. Just a pity to keep taking points off Unitard's rivals for sixth place.

I thought the team were great today. under the cosh for the first 20 minutes and conceded but fought back wonderfully well and were on top for the rest of the game. Stoke came out with a game plan to close us down and it worked for a time. Big Joe was great for all the game but the rest of his team ran out of legs. Crouchie was good too and the early balls in and long balls caused us problems till we took control. great game to watch and a good result for us.

Fed up of hearing how we are lucky
Personally i think this is the second team who have blown themselves out by trying to beat us by outrunning us. For 30 mins Stoke were fantastic. Their defensive mistakes looked tired to me. Think the 'luck' today was forced imho.

like others above really impressed with us today and nice to see us working other teams past the point their fitness levels can cope with instead of other way round.
Another big shout out for Lala who still only looks 75% fit yet still turned in another top performance plus thought Origi had a more complete game than usual even if he didn't score.

I'm going to give Migs the benefit of the doubt with the Walter's goal today, it was a good cross and even better header.

Lovren let Walter's get in front of him at the near post,he (Lovren) has to be more aware of that danger.

And Migs save soon after with his right foot was vital in those minutes when Stoke were really pushing it

Yeah Origi is looking very good. Works hard for the team, has pace, strength and is clearly doing what Klopp wants him to do. He must be gutted though, Sturridge comes on and gets a free goal straight away.

Agreed. Thought Migs played well and dominated his six-yard line. Hope this is a turning of a corner for him. He has the strength and physique, but he has to think that when a cross comes near him, he's having it - no matter hwo, friend or foe, that he flattens. Never had a problem with his shot-stopping, and even tonight he just didn't get lucky with the header (credit to that ****e Walters -a distant relative of mine, btw).

He's one of my least favourite footballers. I enjoy it when he loses. And that was even before I found out today he's a bitter.

Good result that, especially with other teams, winning. Important to keep that unbeaten run going at home and keeping gap to City ahead of game on Saturday <ok>

Like most have said, first 20 Stoke really pushed hard and made it tricky, but common theme developing and like a lot of pundits said when we started playing that way "you can't press like that all game". Well, seeing that other teams can't. Stoke this time took advantage with a slppy goal from our point. Poor from Mane & Clyne, both hesitated then Mane didn't get close to stop the cross and Lovren lost his man. Harsh to blame Mig, was a powerful header and was on him quicker than he knew. Only thing i'd say is positioning was maybe a bit off, but highly critical. Brilliant save just after with his foot that kept us in it, 2-0 and it's different game potentially.

Once Stoke scored we seemed to step it up and they dropped back again (the whole scoring too early thing maybe?) allowing us to push forward and apply pressure.

We didn't play great, and they certainly gifted us the 1st and 4th goal, but overall certainly deserved it.

Don't agree with those that were slagging off Lovren early in the thread. Yeah he was partly at fault for the goal, but he didn't put foot wrong rest of the game. He was up against Crouch so he was never going to win any headers from long balls, but importantly didn't try to and give away silly fouls in and around the box. What they should have done, and did do a couple of times early, was get Hendo to sit infront of Crouch and Lovren behind when they went long. You can't win the first ball against Crouch, but if you can make him flick it on rather than bring it down, it then becomes a 50/50 which you have more chance of winning.

I thought Allen was brilliant for them today, seems to be a different player for them further up the pitch, beating a few players and nearly added the 2nd.

Don't think anyone really stood out for us, Clyne was solid again, Origi lead the line well I think. Was a good focal point and played some nice passes to set team on the counter.

Looking forward to the City game. Feel Chelsea, United & Arsenal will all win their games so another win to keep in touch will be needed. Spurs away to Saints tomorrow is going to be interesting, fancy Saints to get a draw at least.

That goal was a **** up from start to finish Mane with poor control and then not being aggressive enough to stop the cross, Clyne not talking charge and looking to defend, Lovren not in the right position and Mingolet with soft hands.
Team **** you but hey we won so no problem.

Still incredibly frustrating that individual mistakes cost us goals but thankfully the team showed great spirit to turn it around and then some!

Puts us in a good position to smash City.

It was basically sky enjoying a fit up job.

It was a reaction save scenario. Sure you'd like him to save it but he didnt. Sky just have an agenda now to say lfc must buy a keeper or fail at every opportunity now.

Carragher saying we should sign Hart confirms why he should never enter football management.

It was a ****e piece of goal keeping

First 20+ mins Stoke should have been 2 up, but then you came back strongly and Stoke repaid the favour with some crap defending before HT.

Second half I thought they'd started the better and your 3rd came against the run of play, that killed the game as a contest and job done.

A good 4-1 home result, but the scoreline was harsh on the visitors imo.

Ironically, I think you'll find Citeh easier opponents, as Pep's stubbornness to play his way will play into your hands.
