Should have been down the gate,it was a cracker, fair play going up there I said Wolves would put three past us and they did. Another loss at Ipswich and a home loss to Reading he needs to do the right thing and resign, and if not he needs pushing. Get Pardew or Pearson in if they would come.
Why do our fans except, or think we should go for lesser managers, truly interested. Most of the clubs that get promoted from the championship have proven experienced managers in place.
I think we'll have a difficult time attracting anyone, yet alone someone with experience of success, because our leader has proven where he's coming from and has little idea of where he's going. It's so difficult to understand someone like SL who by definition is a very successful man and yet won't hire someone, other than his own weak choices, to run his football club - what's that all about? Baffles me.
Can't see that we would get Rowett either tbh.Lansdown has always been patient with Managers but this run cannot continue much longer
Can you define what a lesser manager or coach is? Was Coppell a lesser Manager? Surely the person in charge of the XI fits the structure and long term planning of the FC? Alan Pardew been used to spending in the tens of millions instead of the millions. What skills would he bring given BCFC's income x financial constraints?
Take a look at his history and record with clubs on budgets,to be fair to him his record is very good. I think he could be heading to Swansea as they have sacked their current manager.
I would think Swansea have already been on the phone, if they have any sense, and Pardew might not be unemployed for very long, unlike Bradley. Spending millions is not always the answer though and it certainly won't be at Ashton Gate anytime in the near future unless I am reading the signs incorrectly.
As expected you did not answer the questions posed, as you did not questions regarding City's finances and signings last week. I asked you what his experience was. Walked out on Reading. He was quickly sacked at Charlton. He was very quickly sacked at Southampton. He walked out on Newcastle. And sacked at Palace within a year. So that leaves? What is it that makes Mr Pardew a greater rather than a lesser Manager?
Another point which goes to show just how blinkered football fans are mate. This is a complete fallacy. Take a look at the managers of the clubs promoted from the Championship in the past 3 years: 2013/14 Leicester - Nigel Pearson Burnley - Sean Dyche QPR - Harry Redknapp 2014/15 Bournemouth - Eddie Howe Watford - Slavisa Jokanovic Norwich - Alex Neil 2015/16 Burnley - Sean Dyche Middlesborough - Aitor Karanka Hull - Steve Bruce I'm sorry, but the only ones there remotely close to 'proven' at the times of their appointments were Redknapp, Bruce and possibly Jokanovic (good achievements abroad but nothing like over here). Other 'proven' managers at clubs over those years included Owen Coyle, Steve McClaren, Ian Holloway, Malky Mackay, Chris Hughton, Neil Warnock, Nigel Pearson, etc. In short, if you pursued a 'proven' manager, chances are you wouldn't get promoted! It just goes to show that neither money nor a big name guarantees you success, and choosing a manager is a lottery in many ways. We literally have no clue. Who could have predicted that Sean Dyche, Alex Neil and Eddie Howe would have achieved what they did?
Tomlin was a liability v Wolves. You cannot have high pressing lines when one player wont press and is not disciplined enough to stay in his position. keeps happening this.
I know people like maverick players and it was the same with JET. Great on the eye when on form but both are not team players. How many times did Tomlin lose possession trying a fancy flick against Wolves. And like you said on two occasions you could see only Brownhill in position in midfield. The gaps was gaping to be exploited.
Pearson did you said so AND DONT FORGET only 3 per season can so if you "5" 2 will dip out ... and last season Warlock PROMOTED ROTHERHAM OUT OF THE RELEGATION ZONE!
