Called up by Gabon for the ACN Forgot all about it to be honest, and with the possibility of losing Kone, Khazri, and Djilobodji we are going to be well and truly stuffed in January. To top it all off we've got no money in January either! Honestly not sure how we're going to cope in January, just have to hope all 4 teams get knocked out early, and non of our lads get injured.
I'm just praying the whole "can't even afford a loan" spiel is just smoke and mirrors so we don't get ripped off. Wishful thinking I know. Take away our ACON participants from yesterday's squad and we would be playing something like: Pickford Love Jones O'Shea PVA Denayer Larsson Khazri Anichebe Defoe Borini That team isn't picking up a single point against anyone in the Prem. There is talk also of Nigeria calling Anichebe up to play some friendlies
Depends who you have in January. If it's some top teams, I'd argue you've lose nothing. If it's teams around you, it could be interesting
By the time we play Palace it could be all over unless Short a..e gets his cheque book out and gives his all time favorite manager a chance. Big Sam must be looking forward to this one already.
Sure there's something that says they can't play club football if withdrawn from acon duties by the club. Hefty Fifa punishments although not 100 %
Possibly. I've had a look who we should have back by then. We could line up something like: Pickford Jones Denayer O'Shea PVA Larsson Rodwell Pienaar Anichebe Defoe Borini Not awful but ****ing hell that midfield is weak. I'd also have concerns about dropping Denayer back after he's played pretty much the entire season in DM. Having said that, I presonally believe we will have sold Kone (and hopefully replaced) Kone before he buggers off, so Denayer could take Rodwell's place, with the new fella in central defence. Looks a bit healthier that way but still not great. Here's hoping.
Looks awful to me, but I would have Denayer and Rodwell swop places, even with this change it still looks awful.
F*ck it he hasnt exactly set the EPL alight has he. Lets be positive. It may force Moysy into a 4-1-4-1 and go more attack minded.
I have the feeling that if we start playing Rodwell again we'll go back to losing. Dunno what it is about him but we simply don't win with him in the side. It's noticeable that the recent wins have come while he's been injured.
