OD; what are your views on the best price of 5/4 being offered on Thistlecrack in the Cheltenham Gold Cup? With these offers I will wait for Trials Day before topping up my already substantial wagers at 8/1. Surely price cannot collapse any more no matter the performance in the Cotswold (?) Chase at the end of January.

Quite keen on the chances of Peter Bowen's Pearl Swan at Chepstow today. The form of his Ffos Las victory has been boosted by the second scoring since, and he gets in here with just 10-03 off a mark of 127. If you look at some of his form over hurdles on soft ground (6th to Killultagh Vic in the Martin Pipe off 138, 4th to No Planning off 137 in a Pertemps Hurdle at Haydock) that chase mark looks very workable.

Let's see what happens in the Lexus tomorrow Kenny - if something comes out and wins head in chest it may cause Thistlecrack to lengthen somewhat. Wouldn't want to be taking 5/4 now, probably bigger on the day.

On my merry way to what looks like a cracking card at Ltown.Over at Limerick Willie has a good chance to land a double with Some Neck & Chambord Du Lys in the first two races 6/1.In the big one at Chepstow I'll be siding with Carole's Destrier who should be bang on in there come the last!Looking forward to seeing Douvan in perfect flight and hoping to bag a few winners!

    Ooooopsie daisy!

Also having a wee look at Alary in the CGC. Just of top class in France.

Late Edit; just looked at form again. Has been placed in each of France's two top steeplechases. Surprised to see he is only a six year old so it could be the Gold Cup in 2018 as an eight year old.

Just watching the racing from yesterday and for me, no way is yanworth winning the champion hurdle. He will be getting going when the rest have finished . Btw I'll be glad to see the back of graham Cunningham , talk about stating the bleeding obvious. I'd give the pundits job to Shergs.

Stick what wins the bumper at Chepstow? Wazza has 2 former point winners entered which doesn't make things easier - Sheehan on the one with bumper experience. Aye Aye Charlie's form ties in with Elgin

What went wrong with Cruiseaweigh on his hurdles start btw? He slammed Elgin on the bridle in his 2nd bumper and then got pulled up and beaten out of sight in 2 hurdle runs! Something amiss?

STH - he hung badly left going right handed on first run and they thought something was amiss so pulled him up. Found nothing and ran again following week and he bled in that race. Frustrating start but clearly talented.
