I kinda like food courts, Her indoors likes McCrappy's and I'd rather wait behind a horse for my lunch. A food court like that in the Mall allows her a burger fix (Albeit BK) and me to go for a mexican wrap or something. It is relatively cheap too, though I would much rather nip to Ron's on the market! Her indoors especially in winter though wants such luxuries as sitting down inside a warmer building!
Judging by their popularity, they certainly serve a purpose and as you say, everyone can have whatever they want.
Don't know what's happened to the 'What are you listening to' thread, but this just came on my random play - written by Bryan McLean, of the band Love in 1967, so it will be 50 (fiftyDD) years old in just over a fortnight. One of the best songs from the 60s in my book

"Hello!!" - I see Ian McCaskill has joined the list of celebrities who have passed away in 2016. I'll NEVER forget watching Rory Bremner impersonating him at Norwich Theatre Royal - it was hilarious!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/headlines/38297217 RIP Ian.
Oi Oi lads! I'm looking for Christmas Present for my GF's Dad and Brother. Hard to think of stuff to buy them as they don't have many interests apart from football. Her brother is a bit of a football geek, and seems to remember stats or scores from all ages. Her Dads a big Arsenal fan. Usually I buy them chocolates and wine etc. Bit boring. Just wondering if you guys have read any interesting football books? Or Got any good football DVDs that could be of interest? I was tempted by buying them one of "The Secret Footballer" books. But at the moment I'm leaning towards: This for the stat hungry brother: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1849410178/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE And this for her Dad: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product...act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE Also would be things they could talk to each other about, and swap books as her brother follows Arsenal because of the family. Any other recommendations welcome!
**Cromer has gone into meltdown alert** Yes, Resurgam threatened to visit the town! No, seriously, Pete Doherty plans to open a hotel and recording studio...apparently http://www.northnorfolknews.co.uk/n...en_hotel_with_nightclub_on_seafront_1_4820484
OnThisDay in 1977 the Sex Pistols played Cromer on the North Norfolk Coast. (Where the Cromer country club is now, near the lighthouse) Only £1.75 - to be pogo'd and gobbed at!! I wonder who Sheringham hosted, music-wise, on that day please log in to view this image
Want to go with the gf on a festive walk tomorrow to try and walk off some of the Christmas junk in my trunk. Anyone got any favorites/recommendations? Either coastal, countryside or nature reserve type places?
I think the stretch of coast from Burnham Overy Staithe to Holkham/Wells is hard to beat. Park your car at the side of the road in BOS, walk towards Wells and catch the Coasthopper bus back (approx £2 each). The Hero is a nice pub, though may be busy with the 'locals' from Burnham, but the beer's good. if you don't fancy going that far, I like to park near the bus stop in Marsham and walk across Marsham Heath (can be muddy!!). go to the 'Streetmap' Website and print off a map showing the footpaths, so you don't get lost. The Plough is a reasonable pub. You could also go to Blickling - there's a car park on the SW corner of the park, just before you come out of the woods and you can walk down by the lake etc. The pub is lovely if a tad pricey - http://www.bucksarms.co.uk/ If you want any other suggestions, just ask.
