There's nothing wrong with Raylor, and Smith can be used as a DM when needed and wasn't that bad pre-season. Perch, Xisco and Forster can go though.

 

Ashley isnt going to pay a player to not even be in the squad. They'll have to be sold.

 

Xisco might as well not be in the squad, as i believe Xisco gets payed when he's played on top of what he's payed a month, which is why he's rarely given a game.

He's obviously not worth the extra he'll be payed for making an appearance.

 

I'm not having the wage cap debate again Tash, suffice to say we can't afford it.

Which is why they'll want to sell him before they buy. He's taking upwards of 40,000 a week in wages.

It wasn't a wage cap debate, but i can't be arsed to get in a debate about anything today really.

We need another striker in, if we don't get one then we could fall short of anything we are going for this season, and end up frustrated as **** when we play very well and don't score goals because of lack of quality upfront.

We can't afford not to buy a striker IMO.

No doubt Pardew will spout bollocks like usual at the end of the transfer window.

 

Raylor played 5 league games last season. Tavernier can easily fill his RB role just as well and we have adequate midfield cover.
Perch played 13 league games last season. Most before we found out he was atrocious. Again Tavernier can cover his positions.
Smith played 11 league games last season. As a DM Guthrie and Gosling are better. We have Barton, Cabaye, Guthrie, Gosling and Tiote all who can play DM.
Xisco has played 9 league games since 2008. And considering he is about 8th choice and least resort, we should leave him out the squad.

 

Raylor isn't a RB and i've never rated him as one. He's a right midfielder or can cover CM. He's a decent player and good enough to be part of a strong squad.

Smith could be used in cup games, and also be used as a sub. He's not completely useless like some people think. He could be used to hold the enemy off for the last 20 mins when holding on to win or w/e.

Xisco and Perch, i don't care.

 

Asking a lot of young Tavernier, I'd want to loan him out and use Raylor for this season, he's experienced and decent in midfield, plus Simpson isnt too bad with injuries anyway.

We have a contract with Deportivo which means that we have to pay out more money in the event that he makes a certain number of appearances. I think he's reached that limit, so if we play him again, we have to pay Deportivo a few mill.

It's not as easy to just exclude a player you dont like. Imagine going into Ashley's office and saying he has to pay 100k a week to Smith and Xisco and they wont even be in the 25 man squad.

 

But Raylor's normal position to cover is RB. Where we have cover. When will he ever get a chance to play CM? Would rather play someone like Abeid. And as a RM... Barton, Obertan, Marveaux, Jonas, Ben Arfa, Gosling... again no chance.

Smith in cup games would mean he doesn't have to be in the 25 man squad. He is another who shouldn't be playing. The only thing I could see him for is CB cover...

It wouldn't be asking too much, just RB and LB cover. Simmo isn't out too often, Tavernier is almost 20 so isn't exactly a proper kid. Already played a few cup games for us.

 

But he doesn't want Xisco to be played as it will cost him a million or 2. And Smith is already not getting played. Ashley might be a dick but he knows neither of them play anyway.
