In my quest to complete the 92 I went to Crawley v Newport on Saturday. 13 yellow cards- proper football.
China knees Clint Hill still managing to put in 90 mins playing CB for Rangers, 1-0 up against Inverness CT. Good to see Clint, on his haunches, in a typical pose, waiting for the next cross to come in. Rangers Director, John Gilligan, in post match comments - "Clint Hill back at the heart of the defence today was magnificent" - good for him. Annoys me that if we had offered Clint a cheap, one year contract he could still be putting performances like this for us, in comparison to a dozy, injury prone Caulker. http://www.vipbox.nu/football/441779/2/rangers-vs-inverness-live-stream-online.htm
Don't clubs get fined if they receive a certain number of yellow cards in a single game? I went to watch Peterborough v. Chesterfield a couple of weeks ago, thoroughly enjoyed it, 5-2 to Posh.
Yeah they do. The ref was about 5'3" and didn't have much of a clue how to control things. Nine yellows for a the away team but no reds.
Good luck with the "92" - my brother-in-law and nephew finished it a couple of years ago, nephew was only 14 when they did the last game - a good effort at that age!
All our relegation rivals in action today, all away from home but if results go against us we will kick off tomorrow at Brighton in the relegation zone...
Wish we were getting our game in today as I am mostly free, tomorrow we are hosting a brunch for around 50 people. Just watching a bit of Watford v Palace - unfortunate for Watford to have Janmaat subbed off injured in the 4th min, then also Behrami in the 14th min. Crazy of Gomes to concede the penalty, that Benteke missed - lucky to not even get a yellow card for his actions. Now Delaney concedes a penalty after some grappling in the box and Deeney scores, 1-1, game on - should be an interesting final 20 mins.
Well at least Brentford tied it up 2-2 at 90+1 after Cardiff had gone 2-1 up at 89 min. Imagine Warnock at this type of scowl on his face after that:- please log in to view this image Still they are a point above us now, but at least they can score goals, our achilles heel. If Blackburn were to pick up a win at Barnsley we would be in the drop zone.
Despite their -25 GD Rotherham managed to put three 1st half goals past Wigan, currently 3-1 up, so keeping Wigan down there with them - similarly Barnsley 1-0 up against Blackburn and Burton currently hanging on to a point at Villa putting them above us.
Still three points off the drop as it stands. Enthralling stuff. Bonus- after tomorrow only Rotherham will have a worse goal difference.
Wigan, Blackburn and Burton all lose, once again helping us out - at a certain point though we have to step up, score a few goals and gain some results if we want to survive relegation.
Leeds score 4 at Preston, Norwich in free fall conceed 3 at Reading and have another player sent off......at least Blackburn and Burton both lost so we'll still be 20th tomorrow lunch time at worse......mind a point will lift us 1 place above Cardiff......woohoo.
Yes, I think that would be quite remarkable if we could grab a draw at Brighton - I believe I predicted a 2-2 scoreline, but not sure how we can possibly attain that feat if we can't score goals, so perhaps a 2-0 Brighton scoreline is more likely?
