Happy Christmas for tomorrow you batards. Eat drink and enjoy yourself. rendezvous on Tuesday for post xmas match
So who's hungover this morning? Got a nice fry up on the way then off to more family for xmas round 2 this afternoon with a side order of football today
Not hungover at all #designateddriver PS... might have been hungover yesterday morning mind. Went out for three hours on Christmas Eve but managed to make double figures in pints still
What a ****. Extremely dangerous to be intoxicated as a road user and also very unprofessional to be drinking. He's gone down massively in my estimation Wonder what Klopp will have to say about this ??
I agree, if I am driving I don't drink at all. Never been one to have a couple over a certain period and hope I am within the limit. Not only would I lose my job if caught, I could never live with myself if I injured someone, even after 1 pint. You would never know if your reactions would have been slightly quicker if you had not had that 1 pint, and the accident could have been avoided.
True. But people still argue there's a difference between being 1mg over (and therefore barely a fail) and being twice the legal limit. The limit is the limit for a reason ... because research into driver impairment through drinking shows that reactions and response start to be seriously compromised at that point. In the past I have had a pint of weak lager, like 4% or whatever and driven several hours later knowing that I'm under the limit, but I don't bother anymore, what's the point. I'd rather wait till I got home and have a drink of something I'll actually enjoy and appreciate (without paranoia, lol). Older people I know drink several pints and still drive which is disgraceful but because they're older probably feel like they're exempted or there's little chance of them getting caught, who knows the thought process. With Firmino what gets me most is that it's a total failing of his professional duties as a footballer. He's a role model to a lot of (young) people and also a standard bearer for the club wearing the shirt and so on. It's pathetic really the amount of money he gets paid (and compensated for missing out on certain - arguably pointless and bad anyway - elements of social life) to be a responsible pro.
Even when I could drink, I was like you Garlic, I wouldn't drive if I'd drunk a drop. I've never been a heavy drinker though and not one for drinking when out either.
I imagine most footballers give view few craps about being role models. They just like getting paid for a job they love. It's probably harder not to **** up if you've got unlimited cash to get you anything you want, high pressure, etc.
Do you know if it was the morning after type of thing or was it out in the evening and done for risking It? All I can say is I agree with you all on drink driving. I'd like to understand how he managed it.
