53 years old though, I was just watching the band aid 1984 recording last night, my god how many pop stars this year ?
I thought he was amazing, some would even say flawless. He was like a father figure to many and they would have been pleased they kept the faith, but now sadly, they will all wish they had been praying for time. They wont be another December song, now.
He overdosed on chocolate... It was a careless wispa... Sorry... Couldn't stand the self righteous prick myself! Thoughts with his family though. Think there's more to this than "dying peacefully" though like Nacho said
Talented but tortured. The only one who could follow Freddie Mercury as the Queen front man but for whatever reason didn't. (Paul Rodgers is a superb blues singer but didn't make it as a Freddie stand-in imho). Not my kind of music but nevertheless a great singer songwriter and a sad loss to music
Bit of a running joke with me that, when I get my wife a Wispa from the kitchen I'll usually chuck it on the floor by her feet and say "what's that?" "Careless Wispa".
In my non expert opinion something we're not being told. He was about to start recording a new album ffs. No chance it was expected IMO.
Bit of a shame he's gone early. Talented man who was clearly pretty damaged by the fact he couldn't be himself for so long. Massive shame when what he is, is absolutely fine in this day and age.
Never liked his music mate, ion he was singing ion my back garden i'd draw the curtains and then set the dog on him.
Fair play mate. But to me, his ****e music was instrumental in growing up. Could never make my mind up if i preferred pepsi or Shirley. One of life's dilemmas.
