Agreed. But I also think we are more suited to the close proximity games. Our rotation should allow us to take a grip on the other two matches. Feel very positive about this festive period, but as a wise Fran once said, that wears away as the game approaches.
As we all know, Southampton are the hardest hit over Christmas playing three games in 117 hours compared to Chelsea at the other end of the spectrum that play their three over 223 hours. The BBC do a nice article on it and then talk to Klopp because he is going to talk about Southampton's tough fixture list?! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38423001
If Klopp moans about the schedule I'm going to drive up there and kick him in the ankle. 117 hours, the worst by a distance.
The funny thing is you know at least one of Wenger, Conte, Klopp or Mourinho will moan about the unfairness of it all if they lose a game. Other teams will just have to 'suck it up'. I'm going for 1:1 with Spurs, they always seem to grab a goal against us.
There is one thing. Already, Puel rotates the squad like a ****ing champion, so I expect Saints to fare as well as any team might under the circumstances. One last thing - the players get to have a pretty reasonable Christmas Day at least, so I think they'll trade those hours to be with their families. And it's two home games first, so no travelling until Sunday afternoon.
I think Tottenham may be a lot less solid if Alderweireld is injured, he is part of their solid core and Dier has been a bit off in recent times!
I suppose the physical fitness guys have put their heads together and worked out the value of rest over the disadvantage of losing a bit of fitness. My guess is Xmas Day off, then in for some training on Boxing Day. They had 3 days off after the Boro game....we mustn't spoil them.
Come on saints! 1-2 at White Hart Lane is history now... let's have that win at St Mary's pleeeeeaaase!!!
If we must concede a goal, can it not be as a result of us misplacing a pass/losing a soft tackle/not marking at a set piece. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that we are our own worst enemy, at times, gifting opportunities rather than making our opponents really work hard at opening us up. Was it last season when we lost possession on the halfway line, then Kane got a lucky bounce off a defender, before scoring their first?
Would love jay to get a hat trick. In theory the only player we cannot rest for a game is vvd. Oh and Forster.

4-0. A walk in the park. 2 red cards for Spurs inside the first ten minutes. And the lottery numbers will be ... If you can dream etc etc.
