    Status Quo - back in the day they were ''probably'' the hardest working and entertaining band around, seen them five/six times and got full VFM every time, quite often better value than the headline act. They're not to everyone's taste but, only the music snobs do them down.

    Well I don't mind admitting to being a Quo fan and saw them many times. Never disappointed. Saw them for the last time 2015 at The Blue Bell Burton Agnes. RIP Rick Parfitt.

    Quo were at their peak in the early 70s. By the late 70s they were on the wain and I agree a whole lot less relevent. They could still knock out the odd good tune even then.

    Tbh, a bit like Hot Chocolate, they had their own little niche or genre, with big crossover appeal into other markets.
    They always exuded a goodtime infectious bonhomie on TOTP- a useful trick.

    RIP to the Red Army Choir. Aeroplane crashed after take off from Sochi all 90 on board dead - 64 of which were the red army choir.
