If you knew that your kids were involved in rioting, looting, destruction of property etc would you report them to the police? I have to say that I would because as a parent you have to teach your children the difference between right and wrong as well as teaching them that they must take responsibility for their actions. I look forward to some healthy debate on the subject.
Some of the parents are as bad as the kids. In the summer there people were getting arrested for rioting and were in their late 30s and 40s. Imagine how their 10 year old child I'd going to behave if it sees dad verbally abusing the police and hurling petrol bombs.
The parents are probably asking their kids to get them a new TV, so it would be pretty bad to report them.
True, the addage scum breeds scum was never more appropriate in that case. There are parents who will be ashamed of what their kids are doing though and will do nothing because they want to 'protect' their little sprogs. In reality though they are doing them no favours.
I'm not a parent, but its much harder to control your children and help them differentiate between right and wrong when you don't have a stable income and when you don't have a stable family around you to support you and your children. And how is reporting them to the police going to help? They'd probably have a higher quality life in prison than they do outside of it.
I'd be amazed at my toddlers fine motor skills. I really don't know whether or not I'd report them to the police unless I was actually in that situation, and I'd suggest that anyone who says otherwise is lying.
You all have to stop over reacting about this. Every one in London knows that this is simply local boys and girls taking part in organised auditions for the lighting of the Olympic Flame next year. There's no puiblic money left to pay their travel expenses so the poor kids have had to rob local shops to pay for their bus fare home.
My kids arent old enough to riot - but they'd simply never be involved in this kind of thinkg in the first place. I try to bring my kids up with respect for all property -their own and others. So id not have to report them, if they did get involved i'd go out to the streets drag their arse home and kick **** out of them
this My eldest kid is old enough to get involved (so is the second eldest if the news reports are to be believed) but none of them will as I've raised them fairly well (so far) Like Anportmor, though, if they were involved, I'd ****ing flatten them.
You are clearly one of the decent members of society trying to raise your kids right but there are many parents who just plop their kids in front of the TV and leave them there, feed them nothing but fast food, and let them run wild without consequences. It is kids raised this way who have no boundaries and who get involved in violent and anti social behaviour when they are older.
So these riots are in no way related to the government cuts? They're just random acts of violence and destruction?
The majority of these kids probably never watch the news or read a quality newspaper. They obviously have the idea that rioting is acceptable behaviour which just shows that they lack the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong. Idiots the lot of them.
Mr and Mrs Scum had four kids, two boys and two girls. The daughters grow up and have four kids each from a variety of fathers. The two sons grow up and have four kids each from different mothers. They in turn grow up to have four kids each and so it goes. This is happening in cities all over Britain, regardless of race or colour. Simply watch an episode of Jeremy Kyle to see it. Who's the father? Any one of four. Pregnant at 14. Four kids by different fathers and pregnant again. Where does it all end?
You think people out looting and burning places to the ground have any idea about government cuts? Recreational rioting, it happens here every summer.
