MUFCOK probably closed his account when he got banned off the Liverpool board, there was no point being on the forum once that happened.
Hi Eric - how are you mate? I am pleased to announce that i took your ridiculously stupid comment off my signature
Not bad cheers Dave, yourself ? Stupidly busy mind. I noticed the sig changed, not sure if I'm happy about it or not
Don't worry Roger i am sure another moment of brilliance will come from you soon enough. EDIT: I'm good thanks - at work and as usual spending most of my time on here
I'd say top 3 easily. I can only think of Vidic and (at a push) Terry who are consistently better than him. He only cost around £7 million too, which is a snip compared to the other defenders City have bought - Lescott, Kolarov, Bridge, Toure... all either had one decent season and failed to replicate it, were past their best, or were just **** to begin with.
Vidic probably is the best centre back of his type in the league, however I rate others highly Vermaelen at Arsenal,Gary Cahill at Bolton. I reckon Steve Clarke can make Martin Skrtel as good as those.
I dunno, I'd say Agger and Ferdinand would be better if they stayed fit for long periods, and Vermaelen and Cahill also have shouts as KPR said. But let's not start on the who is better argument again...we'll send BBF off on another one of his rambling rants!
We may be able to mug 'Arry out of £6 million for Joe Cole, well he was stupid enough to shell out money on Alan Hutton and Jermain Jenas.
Yeah, that's partly why I added the disclaimer 'consistently'. Vermaelen hasn't really properly got back, Agger and Ferdinand have been out for extended periods, and I personally wouldn't rate Cahill above Kompany. None of them have got a patch on Per Kroldrup though...
They are better than Jolene Lescott, who Moyes managed to rob £24 million off Man City. Then again Man City at the time weren't managed by a good manager...(They still aren't)....They were managed by Mark Hughes.
How many former Liverpool or UTD players have gone on to manage and lift silverware? 1 Queen Jenny (PL) who else
Eatcustard. How many Liverpool players have gone onto manage teams and lift silverware. Bob Paisley. Matt Busby.Liverpool skipper 1936-1945. It must hurt to have a statue of a Liverpool skipper outside your ground. George Graham is the only Rag to be a success as a manager..and he ended up in disgrace and he was more known for his efforts at Arsenal anyway.
Matt Busbys best days were as the UTD manager, not as a player, so that is more than acceptable. I can even accept Fat Molby as the former Kiddy Harriers manager, help them win the non league.
