Not good for Mackems that like...it's a rival out of the relegation fight.

Maybe, maybe not. Allardyce only just got out of it last year. There are no guarantees. He normally does enough, but this time will likely be doing it against a background of intense media interest due to his corrupt practices. Personally I hope he fails badly as he is a disgrace to football.

You would say Pardew has built a very decent squad to build on. He has a window. The bloke has done very little of note in his career and people are suddenly believing what is basically his own press.

Palace have got a decent set of players there. The football might become a bit dull but he will easily keep them up

I haven't heard it, but I'd say it's likely, he always goes back to his former clubs for his old players.

I hate Lawro's standard "Allardyce guarantees survival" guff, but fatty bung man should do well with this Palace team, and at least has plenty of time and the transfer window on his side.

I'll be very surprised if Palace go down. It's bad news for the Mackems in all honesty.

I feel sorry for palace fans. Theyve suffered Pardew, now Allardyce and all his baggage.

Seeing as though the Sunderland fans are loathe to accept opinion or question from anything that does not have red and white emblazoned upon it, I'll say I think Allardyce will sort out Palace. They have the right sort of players for his style.

I think Pardew was unlucky mind at Palace, he can't go on the pitch and stop **** defending or bad luck. It's weird the historic pattern of things falling apart after a year in each of his jobs, he must get his feet under the table and get comfy.

I think Pards is a like a shot of adrenaline to a club.... there's an initial buzz and after a while it wears off and things start to slide.
The best managers in history, using Fergie as an example were able to rebuild several times to freshen things up. They also weren't all pally with the players. There has to be a management line for me where a player is both fearful and respectful at the same time.
In Rafa... we have that type of manager.
I love it when fans of other clubs have a pop at Rafa for 'lowering his standards' or being a '**** one trick pony'.... they just don't get it at all....... <laugh>

Allardyce will keep Palace up. West Ham will get out of it, Swansea won't. Sunderland will go on another stretch of defeats with occasional draw and win. Will it be enough ? There'll be one surprise team going down this season I think, along with Swansea and Hull or maybe the makems
Swansea Hull and Sunderland look the best bet though

    .
Leicester are getting pretty close too. Sunderland are only 3 points behind them.
