Time Commanders has started up again on the BBC. They did that rather secretly. Just watched the first one, and apart from Gregg Wallace getting a little over excited [Eddie Mair was always perfectly dour in the older version] it was the same programme of a decade ago, but with much better computer graphics. Thing is, we're all blaming 2016, but in reality for those of us of a certain vintage, the people of our youth are getting to an age where this happens. Still, 60 is no age. My old man went at 60 and it's ****.
There was a very good article on the BBC News website about just this subject several months back. I'll see if I can find it. [pause] Here you go: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36108133 Blimey, I see it was written in April. I believe it is still relevant though.
Gregg Wallace - SHUT UP.! Otherwise, Episode 2 was pretty cool too. The Battle of Waterloo: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0864zhl/time-commanders-episode-2
My Nan at 63, my Uncle at 58, my Mum at 66. I was 63 when they picked up a problem and I had an op. So if you have had family members who have died early with heart problems get your BP and cholesterol checked in your fifties and prevent damage. Now enjoy your Xmas dinner.
