There was nothing stopping you getting a flag highlighting what's happened to John Oxley and the lack of concessions and bringing it to the Boxing Day match. All I asked was it should have Hull City on it.
I bet the Allams have briefed the stewards, "eject anyone that protests" the only effective way is an empty stadium.
There's loads planned. We want to do more and will be doing. The aim is exactly what you've said; drawing attention to the issues such as no concessions at a national level and we've made that point a lot in our communications recently. You think that having banners with his name on would achieve that. I'm not so sure it'd be noticed any more than any other banner. I certainly wouldn't rule it out, but it's one idea and if we were going to coordinate one protest for everyone that out one forward we'd need an army of people. There's loads of other people raising alternative suggestions. At the moment we're calling for a boycott as loads of people wanted and we're backing Obi's campaign. The billboard type stuff will be happening again soon too.
LFC managed to display large anti-owner flags at the front of the Kop to ensure constant media coverage. Not sure whether it would be allowed at the Cooperdrome though.
Don't know where to put this comment so I'll stick it in here. Anyone going to Ferriby v York game beforehand?
Could we also have a giant 'SAVE US CHIEN LEE' sign for either televised game - he seems to be impressed by things fans do. Might make him have a rethink to try again.
Not saying it's a bad idea, but him having a rethink wouldn't achieve much unless Ehab was willing to sell it to him.
I won't be there, if everyone else stayed away we'd already be rid of them but if you're going to keep turning up atleast do something.
Talk about turning on your own supporters. "Do this, do that, don't do that, why are you doing this, why can't you do this, be like me, thats rubbish...what me? Oh I sit at home"
Put up or shut up, you're all snapping at the criticism because you know your efforts to get rid of the owners have been utterly laughable. I'm assuming the trust actually discuss some of the ideas put forward to them and there's been plenty of good suggestions so why have they decided that doing nothing at the Man City game is the best course of action?
I'm glad i'm not sat around your Christmas dinner table. Take some pills for your issues or have a walk. The only thing utterly laughable is your 'my support is better than yours' attitude.
They say they're backing Obis suggestion on this thread but how many people have seen it? this was slipping onto page 3 yesterday, I'd be surprised if anymore than couple of hundred people are even aware of this thread. If you're backing his idea atleast release a statement saying so.
We can't force people to post on this thread, but we shared it far and wide on the day it was posted. Part of the problem could be that everyone has different ideas. Some scoff at this and say something else would be much better. Others are against more direct action and want to see more of this. The only way anything will happen is if people compromise a bit.
This thread's had 2,870 views, the Trust's Facebook post has had almost 5,000 views, with far more on Twitter. Sadly, quite a few of the posts have been 'we don't need telling to support our team' type responses. I was talking to Geoff earlier in the week and some members have been giving him grief about the Trust supporting John, due to his previous banning order. It's impossible to keep everyone happy, whatever you do, someone's always going to slag you off. It gets really wearing after a while.
Put up then, you first. What've you done? What have you planned? What have you been involved with? Apart from staying away that is.
It would at least show Chien Lee that us Hull City fans want him here - might make him persist, knowing he is wanted.
I'm not snapping I don't think I'd be very supportive of a complete boycott of all games, I started by not renewing and didn't even go to Wembley I'm not convinced that is noticed, particularly in the PL, because as you've said yourself it's a relatively small group that would take action whatever it is...and of course the % of income that's takings is very small I personally agree that Man City would have better for a boycott, but I can totally understand why Swansea was chosen If either of us really want our views heard then we'd better stand for a position on the Trust board. I've decided not to as I'm happy that the Trust represent me well enough. I assume you don't think that so you'll be standing for a position on the Board?
