After a lot of faffing about waiting for friends to get back to me about buying them tickets I finally got some yesterday, there aren't many left and I'd be very surprised if there's less than 51,000 Saturday

I'm a little sceptical of a lot of Arsenal's injuries and wonder if Wenger's just keeping them out of this week's friendlies before their miraculous recoveries in time for Saturday.
Plus, I'd rather see some a proper contest against most of Arsenal's best players than having to see their second choice. If we do collect some points I don't want excuses that it was because of their weakened squad.

    Peter Walton will be referee:

Newcastle kick-off their 2011/12 Premier League campaign against Arsenal on Saturday, and Peter Walton will be in charge of the clash at St. James' Park.
The 51-year-old has been officiating in the top flight since 2003, and last season Walton refereed 33 games, issuing 110 yellow cards and nine reds.

Only one of those matches was a Newcastle fixture, however, with the Northamptonshire-based official overseeing the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield in May and cautioning Magpies duo Mike Williamson and Cheik Tiote.
Ron Ganfield and Andy Garratt will be Walton's assistants, with Nigel Miller the game's fourth official.

Wow, over three cards a game. I wonder what odds will be given for him sending somebody off on Saturday?

Paddy Power have match odds of :

    Newcastle win @ 3/1
Arsenal not to score @ 4/1
    Arsenal HT / Draw FT @ 13/1
    4-4 draw @ 225/1

Anybody picking up on the 4-4 will have a good night out, that's for sure.
