Often pundits are accused of being bland and sitting on the fence. Chris Sutton certainly cannot be described as one of those! http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/watch-chris-sutton-stephen-craigan-9427258 Never afraid to speak his mind or disagree with the men sitting next to him..
When reading out the results, James Alexander Gordon would've just said that Newport v Morecambe on Saturday was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. However, the guy on SSN decided to say that it was abandoned at HT with the score at 1-0 with flippers and a snorkel being the order of the day!
Doubt Leicester fans ever expected to see 2 of their players in the World's top 10! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/38238660 Ronaldo seems to have won although there is some confusion.
Odd thing about that game... https://thekitman.co.uk/udinese-mod...ter&utm_campaign=Feed: thekitman (The Kitman)
I have to say I'm shocked and rather saddened by Zola's appointment to Birmingham. The speed with wich it was announced, it must have been set up while GR was still at the helm. I thought GFZ was more of a gentleman than that!
I am not sure he would have really thought about Rowett TBH - probably just got offered the job and thought "ok"!
So often fans talk about "our" club, when in reality it belongs to a company and the fan has no say in how it is run. It is good to see how a club can return to the fans, but how many would choose to go down this route to get control? http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38404784
What is quite interesting is many of our far left wing supporters quite happily drool over 'our' mercenary multi millionaire players in the short time they are with us.
What any decent person, regardless of politics, wouldn't drool over are the market forces and gluttony that drives the frankly disgraceful wage structure in football today. Taking the piss.
Or you could say do those who hate the thought of overseas people coming over and taking British jobs really support the many foreign players in their team. I'd love to know who somebody like Nigel Farage supports!
I did not choose to be a Watford fan - they chose me. I was born in the town and started watching them when they were in the old 3rd Division. This was the start of a life long relationship which would have rough and smooth times. I do not feel good about my club trotting out onto the pitch with 11 players of different nationalities, none of whom knew where Watford was before signing up - and my identification with the club is less than it used to be. But, they are the club I grew up supporting and so I will tolerate this. Had I been born without a 'home town' (like on a cloud somewhere) and I could simply have chosen my club according to merit alone then it might have been Ajax Amsterdam (because of their youth policies), or Portsmouth (owned by the fans themselves). But I wasn't born on a cloud and so I remain true to Watford - despite the Pozzo plan and not because of it.
Somebody feeling the pressure? http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38375132 Bob Bradley sacked from Swansea - Pardew to be back in work or will they take a punt on Giggs.
It was all about how easy was it to get to the ground ours or them up the M1, so as we was on the main line i tried us 1ST and as they say the rest was history 50 years ago this season .Once its in your blood then its till i die no matter what Div we are in .Should the Pozzo decide to sell us and make a nice fat profit i would say good luck to them and thanks , They may not love Watford as much as EJ/GT but they have done more for us in such a short time .If you get the time look at "Behind the badge " 4 part program its a real eye opener
