When I had school dinners at Junior School I was forced to eat mashed swede on a regular basis. I can't even look at the stuff now. Don't much like tinned sweet corn either, but corn on the cob is lush.
My son and GF are cooking....will be very nice, but incredibly late as I don't think they will shift themselves. I'll be lucky if it is ready by 5.
I love spinach. In fact the older I get the more greener veg I love. Weird. Tonight I had a lovely steak with broccoli, green beans, Brussels, cabbage and asparagus. No carbs, and washed down with a nice Chianti (also, surprisingly low carb). Oh and a Stilton/garlic/cream sauce. But now you mention it, I needed spinach [emoji16]
No one has mentioned broccoli!! Fantastic vegetable and use a some fresh lemon juice with it. Boil it gently, then put in the pan for 1 minute and add the lemon juice.!! Another one that is good is avocado and tuna fish. And if you feel like a lettuce use olive oil and salt to get the goodness from it.
It has rained here for nigh on four days and nights non stop. And the locals love it! When you consider that it didn't rain at all from the beginning of May until the end of September, these four days of solid rain are so important to fill up the reservoirs. As I live in the Tramontana, it has resembled a very wet North Wales or Lake District.
Come on you Positives! let's get more posts than the Negatives! (although not a single post has anything to do with the thread!) and I quite liked Gary Glitter until I knew what he was like (should get a few responses)
and hell the Spurs game ain't far away (which is what this is all about) and there's no reason why we can't beat that stuttering maybe maybe not shall we press shall we not are we good are we not pile of ****e! 3-0
Funny that no.7, when I go on my travels and often don't get green veg with meals, I crave green veg by the time I come home. Cabbage, green beans, spinach or broccoli are what normally satisfies the craving. Perhaps ourselves bodies are changing at our age* *the same age!!!
