HAIG 2030 In all seriousness, I doubt that you will find many true Spurs fans who are either jealous or bitter about Arsenal. It has been an accepted fact, among Spurs fans, that Arsenal have had the lead on us for three decades, and we are all of us well aware of the reasons for that. What has happened, I think, over the past thirteen seasons, is that there has been a steady closing of the gap, coupled with the fact that Wenger (still there "Wenger out!") is cutting a more and more isolated and aging figure at AFC. If things continue the way they have been progressing, Spurs will overtake Arsenal. All that you are witnessing in Spurs fans is the excitement at that prospect. The reaction is perfectly understandable.

The Gooners have been in denial for six or seven seasons. It's got so bad for them, that they no longer care about winning the title (not that they were ever going to, of course), and instead they sneer at us whenever we (marginally) fail to finish above them. It's pitiable to see the fans of a once-great club reduced to such a level and let go of the last shred of any dignity.
