Can't wait till 5 pm Boxing Day, Tel will either be like a dog with two dicks or hell be getting his tin hat out of his Manc air raid shelter. Think it just could be the latter, funny old game is football.
Neither I have plans so won't be on (maybe a quick snigger) during Boxing Day, but I'll have you know that I am very magnanimous in defeat when it is a well fought match. I'll be getting wrecked after leaving that stadium no matter what the result
First went to Old Trafford late 60's to see Sunderland play.....Best, Law and Charlton up front that day so it was a bit warm for the Sunderland defense....lol. Not expecting any different on Monday with Ibra in the form he is in but I certainly believe we can get something out the game. The better the opposition you play the more they punish you for the mistakes you make. Here lies the tail....just try and not giving anything away. If Pogba fires one in from 30 yards then so be it but just don't give any soft goals away. Make United work hard for anything they get. We have two lads up front that can hurt them so we don't need to be afraid to get at them. Be patient and grow into the game. Let's try to get through the first 20 minutes still intact. Don't need to be a rocket scientist to know David Moyes would love to leave Old Trafford with a smile on his face......maybe it's his fate and destiny?
What are we expecting? No points. If we get anything more than that it's a bonus. I fancy a draw which would be unreal IMO.
20 years ago to this day, Eric 'The King' Cantona danced through your midfield and defence and chipped a sublime lob into the top corner, becoming the most iconic and most viewed goal in the history of SAFC. Let's all take a moment to remember the brilliance of that wonderful piece of art.
You'll see it in your sleep. You'll just be a bit pissed so you'll probably think he's called Emrik ****onnag instead.
I think you can count yourself very lucky to be able to say you were alive to witness such greatness occur in your football stadium. Think of all those who are under 20 who may not appreciate this beautiful goal.
As it's the season of good will, I will allow you all to share in this celebration with me. If it had bounced out off the post you may have to nominate another much poorer effort as the best goal any of you had ever watched at Roker or SoL.
