Riots have spread to Ealing with shops being looted and set alight. Ealing is just 6 miles from my home town of Harrow, I hope they don't get to my Dad's office or any of my friends. ****S.
The Ealing shopping centre is on fire. Hope it doesn't spread to your dads. To be honest this was always bound to happen eventually. This is the first time the governments major problems have created a pure symton of rioting to anywhere near this level since '81-'85. All have been recession based (the consequence) and until the government seriously alter many control based policies riots will continue to happen, a viscous circle that is pretty much guaranteed.
These people don't care about anything political related (lack of jobs, support etc), they are scum who only care about themselves. These people just look for any excuse to cause trouble. Destroying the lives of local people isn't a protest against the Government, Police etc.

On a serious note though this whar has happened has little to do with social deprevation, politics, racial issues, etc ..... simply greed pure unadulterated greed and lack of respect of humanity. If I had a situation with the police or with the goverment or whatever, I wouldn't waltz into my local skate park rustle up some BMX Bandits and their crew, then trash my high st. set fire to it and then attack the fire brigrade & ambulance when they came to my "Hood's" aid. I'd follow a legitimate course of action, if I had a genuine reason to do so.
