He doesn't really hypnotise people, just manipulates them into doing exactly what he wants. You suggesting everyone on all his shows are just making things up and when he predicts 3 diff people in a crowd of 1000 will pick 3 diff words out of millions it's either through luck or stooges?
Exactly my point. He pressures a guy into saying a certain word, then everyone is shocked and amazed when the guy actually says the word. And the majority of people who go to his shows already believe in his "powers" so he doesn't have to do much work on them anyway.
Derren Brown's so-called 'powers of hypnosis' are total bullshit and #fakeasfuck it's all an illusion Now I'm not saying there's no skill in that, the best magicians and illusionists are experts and highly skilled in similar kinds of manipulation and in slight of hand, distraction, all that But if you actually think there's anything 'magical' or 'out of this world' going on when they do their stuff you're a total ****ing delusional idiot
No ones saying he's a magician. He's an illusionist. There's nothing he does that can't be explained but it's just ridiculously clever how good he is at manipulating people to do/say/think what he wants.
Because he does it in a way where you don't even think he's doing anything. Makes you think it's your own free will and yet he's 15 steps ahead of you. Guy it is seriously clever, absolute genius when it comes to that kind of stuff.
Oh I definitely agree with that, I think my main gripe with it is that it opens the door for 'psychics', 'mediums' and other nonsense professions to take money from people in return for **** all.
think that would happen with out without magicians. Did i mention i watched david copperfield in vegas, was the best thing i've ever seen live. I believe he knows real magic!
He goes or his way to show people that stuff is all bollocks though. He did a tv programme a few years ago about the fakes in America that reckon can heal people and he even referenced it in that show that was on yesterday. He doesnt try try to make out he's magical or anything
Fair enough, not watched him much. The problem is though that people genuinely believe hypnosis is real, when it isn't. Or at least the impression painted of hypnosis is false.
Well hyponsis is different. People can be hypnotised, or put in a state where they are conscious but unconscious and manipulated to perform things for sure.
I agree. The force awakens was great for about 2 weeks. It doesn't stand the test of time BUT... i saw phantom menace and the cone wars this week and they are so freaking bad the force awakens was gratefully received.. but after a year... it doesn't look all that at all. Spoiler: Spoiler What I also liked was they killed the ****ing lot of them off thats more real to me than happy clappy everyone lives stuff
more like empire strikes back in the no happy endings but it just ties in well which shows care about doing it well.
