I can see why the ref from his angle on it only gave a yellow. I think he might have missed the impact due to angle of approach form his point of view. Barkely's fat arse would have been inthe way.

Us sitting here with the replay showing the deliberate assault form the side on anlge and reverse angle can say what we like.


However the ref managed to let him away with 3 later fouls wijnaldum failed to fall over from honestly, a deliberate kicking of the ball away and another dodgy tackle i think... well... its clear mike dean wanted to ensure his first merseyside derby ended with no issues.

4 total cards is low for him.

 

So you have to keep your foot on the ground when making a tackle, I will watch for that in future matches

As far as I know players are supposed to target the ball when making a tackle, if they target the foot or ankle its a foul.

That ref should be up for professional ****ing misconduct if he can't dole out a straight red for that. Curses knows how he can correctly call more marginal decision if he can't do it for that. Deneece behind the bar at da cheez after twelve shots of sambuca and with her bangers flopping in her face obstructing the view could still make the right decision there

 

So do you think Refs are wumming then? because they miss so many yellow/red cards and penalty's when you play it cant be anything else (unless the rules are slightly different in Liverpool).

 

Not too harsh on the ref for it, on his angle it might not have looked as bad. But the Lino was on that side, staring right at it and had a great angle. Should be offering a lot more help.

Clear 2nd in the table with another winnable game at home to Stoke before big one at home to City.
Chelsea, City, United & Arsenal all have very winnable games next 2 weeks as well, so pressure is on for us to beat Stoke and City.
