In order to make such a claim about "significant changes" , by definition you must state all the relevant variables.

Pretty obvious - from fixtures played to many and varied changes in opposition teams, their personnel, performances etc. There's little, if anything, that merits any meaningful comparison - except Arsenal flattering to receive, perhaps.

These same teams have quite stable variables (their average PL positions per season, pts taken, goals scored/conceded etc) that allow for meaningful comparison. You cited one today about Arsenal.
As I was referring to 3 assists beating one of the statistics that you gave, anyone who followed the advice which you subsequently preached, would have noticed that I was referring to the statistic of 2 assists, and not to the statistic of 4 assists.
Chelsea have gone from mid table to clear in 1st place. Leicester have gone from top to just above the relegation zone. 3 of the top 6 have new managers and countless new players.....and Spurs have had injuries, some new players, different fixtures (pessimistically it could be pointed out many of your points have come from playing the bottom sides at home, optimistically you've played many of the leading teams away...), not performed consistently. What is worthy of any comparison?

The fact that like for like with last season, Spurs are in the same position as they were exactly 12 months ago. Change of personnel, injuries etc has not affected that. That bodes well for the 2nd half of the season for Spurs.
But the facts that Alli has scored 2 goals at home, and Sissoko has got 2 assists as a substitute don't bode well for the 2nd half of the season. They don't bode anything. In terms of boding, they are completely meaningless.

Those stats are not the ones that are the basis of my "like for like" comparison. I assume that would be obvious. And if it wasn't, I assume that somebody would ask whether I was doing a "like for like" comparison based on the above two stats. [ I am not going to say something about counting to 10 ... ]
