Tough call this year. Murray has had one hell of a year, however it was one of those years when anyone of several could be justified in winning it. No issue with Andy winning, just saying several were right on it too.
Agreed. In fact if Murray hadn't have become number 1 (and stayed there by beating Djokovic at the O2) he wouldn't have won IMO.
So chuffed for Andy Hope the anti-Murray brigade will shut up for 5 seconds now, though I doubt it. To have won it for the third time in such a phenomenal sporting year just speaks volumes. Mind you, it probably helped that him getting to No 1 and winning the year-end tournament was the last big sporting event of the year Well done Andy, now make 2017 even better!
