He was getting some stick, but he handled it very well. Firstly by scoring, then by some amusing banter.
Just a couple of post match thingys. Living in darkest Dorset, just outside B'mouth, I can tell you we've really cheesed off the locals. Few expected less than a convicing Cherries win and they think the ref was on our side. Also many using their fixture congestion (3 games in 8 days) as an excuse. Cough, did we not have the Stoke game a day after them and have had the Euro games on top this season? Only saw one newspaper report this morning, over half of it was spent on Fonte being 'rotated' and the likelyhood he'll be off soon. Some things never change
My favourite post of 2016. Although I'd say he's the joint best along with Oliver but I'm being picky.
What??? Tom sees a colour between Grey and White?? Shock horror! PS. I put this comment into Google Translate, entered "referee speak" for the language and it came up as this: "He's a big cock, not a complete one" available under the following hashtags *****ing shambles* *****ing awful finishing* *Puel out* *****ing unacceptable*
He's always been very passionate on the sidelines. It's that thing where some fans must think "boring in front of the press = boring person/no passion" - I suspect he's of the Poch school of "give as little away as possible". Now if anyone wasn't passionate (and definitely isn't currently) on the sidelines, it was RK.
At least someone got it right. I've said it before under similar circumstances and I say again, I'm so glad none of you lot manage Saints. You go to pieces so fast people get hit by the shrapnel*. Fortunately we have a manager who keeps going, knows the capabilities of his players and makes good changes coupled with players who don't just give up and take their ball home when they go a goal behind. Grow some bloody backbone and accept that a football match lasts 90 minutes. Vin *Douglas Adams, not me.
I live in West Moors , now work in Southampton . When they beat us , my ex work " Mates " in B'mouth were im'ing me all day.....not a peep today .....I am on a 1/2 day , will check they are still around when I go back tomorrow
In my defence I made that comment flippantly given that we hadn't scored more than one goal in a league game for ages.
If I'm not mistaken, this season we've came from behind to win the match a grand total of one time. So it's not really surprising that people wouldn't expect us to win after going behind. We do that extremely rarely and stats back it up. On a related note, I find this 'I told you so' gloating pretty juvenile.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/38322977 A few nice charts on wage and transfer spend against position in the league last year. Emphasises the efficiency of our £/point spend. Shame they couldn't get our league position right though! #stillundertheradar
Not really. The team performances of late warranted some criticism (which some of you call 'negativity'). Don't see why should that be considered juvenile.
