I noticed Jay kissed a tattoo on his wrist after scoring the first. Anyone know what this is about? I've looked online but can't find anything
Even so, he would know all about Jay's situation. It was just a simple handshake when he was substituted but it just shows that for all the money there are genuine people playing the game.

Whew. That was a fantastic result from an entertaining game in which we were sloppy in possession against a pretty flat Bournemouth. Taking Reed off was a good call because he looked little lost in the first half. Didn't have a terrible game but wasn't directing or controlling the play in the manner Romeu would. We weren't great in the first half really, we were much looser than usual but perhaps this is the sacrifice, playing crisp slow possession football hasn't won us any fans. It took yet another moment of individual skill to get us level so it was great to see us play as a team and create the 2nd with nice interplay. All footballers are confidence players and I think PEH was feeling the pressure today, they want to turn things around just as much as we want to see good things happening. The jury is out on JROD until he has put together a decent run but personally I'm pretty sure he's got the makings of a good centre forward, certainly a match for Charlie. A great moment for him, almost a line under the last two years and fingers crossed the start of a new era for him. No more misses from 4 yards please Jay! I had a good old time going through the match thread after watching the game clicking like on everyone who gave Jay a hard time in the first half : ) Good calls from Puel, he's getting the results. Into 7th. Whoop Whoop.
Isn't it the name of his wife or daughter or something? Whatever, he's just a big softie, and tonight he can walk on water!
I know the 3rd goal will be remembered the longest of the three because it was a peach, but that second goal was a real beauty too. And special thanks to Bertie for getting us back into the game. I think even he has had his critics on this forum this season.
Regarding both of Jay's strikes I don't think I've ever been more pleased of felt so happy for a particular person scoring since Rickie vs Scotland. Jay may be nowhere near that level of fan love but seeing his pure at scoring made me smile and be as pleased for him as I was for the team.
Delighted to announce that I was delighted by yesterday's result and performance. It delighted & surprised me. Things went very right, against expectations and this happens in football, it really does. I mean, three goals, that's like, wow, really? Wow. Do this more often Southampton.
I am delighted for myself, the team and Jay. And we can't even go back to calling him one-goal again. Obviously, reports of his death were greatly exaggerated.
That's what I thought first, but there is a square looking tattoo there...is that just a coincidence then? I'm going to have a look to see if he does it on his second goal
