    I think most start by looking at the smallest gap and worry about the larger one later. If the size difference was going the other way it could be a little worrying <ok>

    I think that's the point being missed by the liverpudlians on here. If we said we didn't see Southampton as a threat, but Middlesborough who are 6 points below them as a threat, anyone would think we were living in denial <whistle>

    I see your point but the league is not like a cup competition. The league is all about ranking in relation to others whereas in Cups you don't give a **** about other teams performances and results. You just have to beat whoever is in front of you. In the league, you have to do better than (at least do as well as) your 4 or 5 rivals or else you slide down the table.

    If the mancs do well, we'll have to match their results or else they'll overtake us. Their results are important to us if we are honest.

    Every team can be a threat if you don't do your job, remember when you were joint top of the league and Chelsea were nowhere, that didn't take long to change.

    Guess that's the difference between our two clubs.. ours has ambition as is looking at chasing down teams above us where as yours is more concerned about not letting teams below overtake <whistle>

    Do you really believe that? That Mourinho is trying to hold on to 6th? Surely we can see that they must still have an ambition as a big club to catch up with those above them.

    Nah, we have the same ideas mate, when we look up we see Arsenal and Liverpool, the two teams always guaranteed to flop at some stage of the season and know we are in with a chance of top 4. Next season I hope to be aiming for the title :emoticon-0100-smile
