It runs and most if it is there. It's not been on the road since 2003. All welding is done and all panelled back up, sat in the garage now while i save up a bit more money to get it painted :)

Not a cooper just a couple of standard 998's in the day - 1976 dark red / plum one had a white roof eventually - at one point a 'sonic youth' white swirl on gray ... the later one had front discs & actually stopped - though didn't always go ... smiling at the thought of them ... both got murdered in non-fault of mine crashes :(

My first car was an 89 998 cooper replica, then a couple of years ago I bought a 99 v plate cooper sportspack with webasto roof. Lovely car but needed restoring, I sold it without doing it and regretted it from the minute I did. This ones a 94 cooper 54k and no matter what the other half says this one isn't going anywhere.....unless a s1 rs turbo comes up then that might test my resolve :)

I once got rather carried away restoring a 1969 Karmann Ghia convertible, spent far more on it than it ended up being worth.

    Wish I'd kept it now.

We've got a 1991 Nissan Figaro now, mainly for junior.

Nice Ghia. My mate had one, it was like a Flintstone car as you could see the road through the floor pan.

Not mine but my mates just finished restoring a split screen camper he got after restoring and selling a bay window which he swapped a T5 for.

Not a bad way to turn £3k into £45k.

"I love England. Half-timbered houses, Half-timbered pubs. Half-timbered cars". Early Dame Edna Everage on first spotting one of those.

Not done by age anymore as loads of old bangers were getting relaxed standards and cheap insurance, keeping them on the road, when they weren't classic at all just old as ****.

I think the market value has to be equal to its original list price for it to qualify as a classic now.
