I agree Mick, I don't think any Leicester or even football fan expected a repeat of last season. I said at the time that a top 6 finish would be the best you could optimistically hope for and if anything even that looks beyond possible already.

I would also like to add that I don't mean this as a wum, but the point in your post I highlighted used to be true. Your net spend last transfer window was around £30-35m...the same as us and the 6/7th highest in the entire league. The only teams who spent more were the Big 4 and West Ham, who have taken to pissing millions up a wall on over-rated ****e because the taxpayer is funding it, so who cares?

You broke your club transfer record twice in one window. Sorry, 'broke' is an understatement. You Germany v Brazil'd your transfer record. Much of that was funded by the Kante departure, but from where we are sitting, your certainly spent like a team who meant serious business and very much wanted to have a stab at more glory. If you spend like a top 6 club, you are expected to perform like a top 6 club. So yes, your success last season was phenomenal...but you can't play the 'poor little Leicester' card anymore if you're buying players for £15m+. It doesn't fly.

That was a pussy move by Fosse anyway. Doesn't matter where you from. If there was one bullet left and local lad Jamie Vardy(leicester fan)had a choice between shooting local boy Fosse or some ageing Italian. He would pop Fosse no questions.

There are a lot of local lads from Leicester that feel the same. Mahrez, even though he looks like a local lad is African.

    Agreed Mick <ok>

Now let me throw another couple of things in:

    1) IF it wasn't Vardy, ie. it wasn't an English player, would the press have had the same opinion.

    2) And that leads me on to my second point - knowing that the ref had, had a shocker a few days earlier, and he was bound to be card happy, was it wise for ANY player, including Vardy, to make such a challenge and put the ref in the position to have to make the decision to send him off?? AND IF it had been a player at a big club, or a foreigner, I bet you the press and pundits would be saying exactly that, and yet NONE have. Instead it's ALL about the ref.

I also thought it was very harsh - in fact, Pawson got it wrong.

But the rules seem to suggest that if you go in two footed, you're off.

My main concern is consistency, once again, Rojo has committed two as bad, arguably worse, offenses in the last couple of weeks. Result - nothing given.

Not sure what you're getting at. Vardy was ripped to shreds when he got sent off against West Ham.

If the players have to think about not doing completely legal things because the referee has make mistakes then it's the F.A. that need to have a rethink.

Nobody is accusing Vardy of making a mistake because he simply has not made one. Poorson has made the mistakes and he's rightly been criticised.

Yeh but we're pretty much all agreed about Rojo's. The point is, that everyone was talking about Rojo changing his ways and how "the refs would be all out for him", but failed to realise that actually, they'd be "all out for everyone". The ref's decision to send Vardy off is very subjective, and if people believe he shouldn't have been sent off that's up to them, I'm not arguing that. BUT Vardy was stupid to make such a challenge and give the SAME ref that decision to make.

I felt it actually was a red card challenge in today's standards. The issue for me was that it looked to be caused by Johnson pushing him off balance and that's why I think yellow. If he'd done it entirely off his own back with no contact from anyone else I would say red

Not by everyone. I personally think he did deserve to be sent off. By the letter of the law, two footed challenge, the ref followed the rules - which he was criticised for failing to do against Rojo. Others may disagree, which is fair enough. But the fact the ref was put in a position to make that decision 3 days after a similar incident which he was criticised for, was stupidity on the part of Vardy. Had that been another player, I bet the press would've been using that line, I have no doubt about it.

Lets not act like Rojo's foul and Vardy's are similar. Rojo gets absolutely nowhere near the ball and is in the air. Good job the Palace lad nipped out of the way.

Vardy is off the floor, he does have both feet going in and you could argue he was out of control because of Johnson's challenge.

BUT. By the time he makes the tackle (when his feet touch the ball) both feet are on the floor, he gets the ball and only clips Diouf (who acts like he's broken his leg) with one foot.

If there is a foul in there then it's because Johnson pushes Vardy over.

See the post above for my answers.

Not sure why you think Vardy gets some sort of undeserved special treatment from the press.
