He's right, even if you raised £1500 for a charity, as great as that is, it only shows 100 people backed the protest. I'm not sure what he means by people using a boycott as an excuse not to go. Surely if anyone didn't really want to go then they just wouldn't?
Man City was the game to do it. Even if it's a gate of 12k or so it would grab attention, the media made a big hoo ha about West Brom's low gate against Man City because they were sick of and protesting against big Tony's brand of football ffs.
Is that the West Bromwich with a considerably smaller population than Hull which saw over 22,000 of them turn up against Manchester City, a crowd per head of population equivalent to over 60,000 at City?
