... clubs in this league have owners/chairmen/CEOs who are busting a gut to push their club forward, grow its profile and advance its progress. Unfortunately we are the one club where the people 'running' (and I use the word loosely) it are doing nothing, and seem only interested in toying with potential buyers whilst they trouser the tv money that is supposed to make us competitive. They appear to make no effort whatsoever in talking up the club, the manager, the players in the media. They appear to do nothing to further the club's cause either with the local populace, the local media, the local council (landlords), or anybody else at all. Do they actually draw a wage for this? They have lost significant support for the club which has enjoyed the best years in its history recently. This in their core support area. Their plan to make the club appealing to people in the Far East appears to have been an abject and utter failure. No news of any breakthroughs in India, the Phlippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka or China. The whole thing was a shambles: from its unrealistic conception to its half-hearted implementation. It seems to have been left abandoned and forgotten by its creators. This is the background reality that too many people in the media forget and ignore. Hull City is not just backwater outfit incapable of spotting where the team need strengthening, it's a club with a good (but too small) bunch of players, and a manager with no money, assistants, help or backing from his 'boss, his hands being utterly tied, whilst we all watch the continuing car crash of our season continue. Take note Jermaine, Danny, Alan, Garth and Gary. The failings on the pitch are the tip of the iceberg for the disaster below the water line. I'm preaching to the converted of course. Which is what we are all in danger of doing, as the message still does not seem to be understood loudly and clearly enough outside HU land.
They were pretty honest and fair about City's plight on MOTD2 this lunchtime. Henry Winter spoke particularly strongly against the owners.
Let's not forget the "Liverpool legend" as glammed up in the HDM, "laying the boot in!" http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/liverp...est-ham-loss/story-29992094-detail/story.html REALLY? Laying the ****ing boot in? **** off HDM, with your drama headlines!
Unless I read it incorrectly 'the first born' is in the midst of a divorce, maybe you has his trousers down and thats why the price keeps going up...!!!!!
Wasn't Henry Winter on Sunday Supplement this morning live from the Etihad Stadium? Busy day for him if so.
As OLM has already pointed out there is no tv money left to trouser.it appears to me that the fella is messing about with papas fortune and could well lose a great deal of it.so if you are reading this ehaw apologise to the Chinese and get the deal done.theres a good chap
One day soon hopefully I will be reading the HDM to discover that Messers Allam have gone bankcrupt and that the **** who is Ehab is selling his arse to put food on the table.
Good point about drawing a wage. They do absolutely **** all for their management fees. Funny how when everything is constantly cut, they still saw fit to give themselves a raise upon relegation. Gift to the city.
You need to pm Castro and find out all about capitalism. Spook can be included too. Just keep it off here.
What? Of all the crap they've done and caused, this is one of the things that risking/investing their money fully entitles them to do.
First they came for the name and I did not speak up as they own the club so they can do what they want. Then they came for the badge and I did not speak up as the goatee on the tiger looks so ridiculous. Then they came for the Airco and I did not speak up as youth development is important and the children are our future. They they came for the manager and I did not speak up as Bruce setup very defensively and it wasn't the tikka takka that I dreamed it could be. Then they came for the children and I did not speak up as I was getting a cheaper ticket as an adult. Then they came to strip the assets and there was nobody left to speak up as the whole city had become disillusioned by the whole ****show.
