Only 2 to 3, must be on the very moderate wing of Saintsweb :emoticon-0126-nerd:

We clearly need a striker and bringing SG into a team struggling for goals wouldn't be ideal. He should stay where he is

... and we don't need to get rid of anyone, just get another striker in

I am concerned about losing Boufal in January though. How quickly can Morocco be knocked out?

Leave him there, don't think we will sign anyone in Jan unless a player we want is available at a reasonable price, which is unlikely in January. Our season is effectively over in my view, apart from the League Cup, so wouldn't want us to massively overspend in Jan to finish 10th rather than 14th

To answer my own question, if anyone is interested and doesn't know.

Morocco are in a dificult group with Ivory Coast, DR Congo & Togo (top 2 go through) They play Group games 16, 20, 24 Jan

If they get knocked out I guess we will lose Boufal for both legs of the semi and Leicester Home Burnley away

We aren't too far away from the same spot we were last year, so a good run of form could always get us 7th.

Also, the fa cup hasn't even began and you're writing us off. At least have some hope! Without hope, well, we don't have much!

Tbf I said the same thing at roughly this point last season. We are a mid table side so are bound to have seasons like this. You are of course right about the FA Cup, but it is a trophy the big clubs take more seriously so can't really see us doing much damage in it, unless we get a lucky draw throughout (like 2003)

Obviously with the attack we have, it doesn't fill us with confidence. But with our defence we could keep a clean sheet against any team on the world if we play to our best, so if we grab a lucky goal from a set piece (or jay finally takes an easy chance) then we can beat anyone!

A lot of if, buts and maybe I'll admit. Still a chance though.

Still only one game. But I am pleased for him. Jay is very much a work in progress.

Would prefer a draw tbh. Really don't want Liverpool to win anything this season, and if they could contrive to miss out on 4th spot, that would be great.

So many teams to hate now that I pretty much want every game to be a draw! My top 4 in no particular order, Liverpool, Spurs, Everton and Man Utd (the latter, just because they are Man Utd!).

I would prefer a draw and multiple niggly injuries to both teams.
    Especially to Liverpool's attacking players.
Oh, and a few red cards :emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0170-ninjathat lead to 3 match bans (4 after the appeals fail), would be very nice.

In fact a nice dose of Norovirus putting both squads out of action for 6 weeks or so wouldn't be too much to ask, would it?
