Wow, thanks for the stats, impressed Marshall has already scored 8 goals. To be honest, I'd have put Jak back in after Sunderland, and after the cup game. Phelan didn't. To be fair to Marshall (now there's a concept) he hasn't put a foot wrong since. You don't play a winger (as well as a wing back) in 3 5 2. Suggesting we did against Spurs who generally attack through the middle is ridiculous, does highlight the flaws with a struggling team playing 3 5 2. Oh and Maloney left Celtic in 2007. And if you really think we could have got a draw, I do admire your optimism.
We played well, the last two games have been by far our best performances of the season, 3-5-2 definitely suits the players available. I went to the game with my brother in law and my nephew (Arsenal season ticket holders) and they thought we looked a decent team (they were up in Hull for a Christmas meal last weekend, so came with me to the Palace game as well), they didn't think we look like relegation fodder at all. Anyone slagging off Marshall's performance either didn't see the game, or they're just a ****.
There's still a long way to go....22 games to be precise..or 57.8% of the season if your being pedantic. As for the Marshall kickers...He's the best keeper we've had since Boaz at his prime..
There's only one way to put an end to this Marshall bashing. Get Meyler back in the team. Come on Mike, are you listening? I'm not asking for a lot?
Thanks to Marshall and his so called plan, the latter half of the twentieth century was an economic slow boat to recovery in Europe which allowed for American expansionism throughout the world, fuelled the Cold War and crippled industry and development in Britain until well into the 1980s. He needs to think more carefully in future. The Jak wouldn't have been so paternally naive.
Before this is locked for politics, or would be if the mods were consistent, what a load of bollocks.
It is thoroughly depressing. The team collectively needs to take more responsibility if we don't sign anyone else. Palace at home was a good start. We're missing/wasting too many really good chances. A bit more composure in front of goal would be most welcomed. I think we should have a dedicated striker coach (Windass wouldn't be a bad option, plus he'd probably be cheap) just to encourage more care and composure when chances do arrive. We've seen players hurry chances and snatch at them when not really under any pressure.
Don't think we need to worry about Marshall being in goal against West Ham. I believe he's being extradited to the US. Something to do with hacking and influencing the electorate. Looking forward to the BOGOF 1 904 fire sale. It'll make Boxing Day look like RRP.
But as the defence and midfield is basically he who mustnt be named team. Why are we shipping goals now playing 3-5-2 but werent under him in the PL?
Davies n dawsom aged 2 years No chester Elmo is getting worse Roberston is not a good defender **** keeper in marshall And an inexperiened phelan who has nevee managed before
