DM: "Jan Kirchhoff is out. He has suffered a cartilage tear in Wednesday's match. As yet though there is no time frame."
I wonder if Moyes is tempted to call Joey Barton yet... Other free agents... Raul Meireles, Wilson Palacios, Nigel Reo Coker, Sulley Muntari.
It's starting to feel like we're utterly ****ed. Moyes seems to have turned results around a little but injuries are racking up.
Looks like ……… Deneyar N'Dong Januzai Borini Khazri Defoe A lot of energy/pace there. Any more injuries we're ducked.
Kirchhoff takes the piss with his injuries it's like he's got a fetish for the treatment room. We should sell him if anyone is daft enough to buy him, he's clearly either going to always be either injured or playing at 60% while he recovers on his way to his next injury, he's a waste of a squad number. Just for the record I think he's a class player when fit, nothing negative on the quality front.
Don't wanna be saying "I told ya so" but, a large number on here in the summer said "5 year contract etc." and I argued that he doesn't deserve it until he can prove his fitness. Lo and behold he's injured again! Truly is no point if he can;t stay fit. World class when fully fit. Sadly never fully fit!
Could say the same about Catts tbh. having the two of them always in and out of the team is not helping our cause.
Maybe we are paying the price for Sam's scientific cryogenic chamber treatment they had last season that brought them back quickly.
I don't know anything about it tbh, but Santa Tel suggested back in Sams days that this treatment had its risks, and it does make you wonder if that is the case. But these players Hoff and Catts are serial offenders that have had injury problems long before Big Sams tenure. While both have their strengths when fit, being constantly out through one reason or another, is a cause for some concern, although we seem to be scraping along we are now down to the bare bones in mid-field.
Did Sam take that away with him like along with his Printer? Just because Sams no longer in charge it doesnt mean our player treatment is any different.
Who knows? If it was effective I cant see why we'd stop using it whoevers manager. Surely the club doctor would make those kind of decisions.
It's my impression that certain managers believe in certain methods and will instruct the club's doctors what to do, not the other way round.
